Anyone else been dealing with this quite a lot recently on @github.com? When it's a stacked PR the experience is even worse.

Is designing for the iPhone Duo with the new camera and tab bar position a new UX pattern or is this already something that the other foldable phones have had already?

I need to make sure that I introduce everyone at @buffer.com to this lovely drink at the next retreat and see how each react to it

Thoughtful async work isn't a trade-off against speed, but chat is a bad home for it. A sketch of what a wiki-first alternative could look like. rathes.me/blog/en/asyn...

What if async teams didn't live in chat?

Build Week Day 2 at @buffer.com: I've built a list view for the Idea section. Right now, the Idea space in Buffer offers a Gallery and Board view but neither of these two work for me. 🧵

This week is Build Week at @buffer.com . Imagine it as something like an internal Hackfest or Hackathon. But instead of it being limited to just engineers, everyone is participating. After all, we are all builders now.

I still need to get my office sorted, this desk feels slightly chaotic regardless of how much I clean it up 🥲

After a phase of doing everything AI assisted and feeling drained every day, I’m back to intentionally slowing down by using pen and paper more often.

I built this in one shot with Claude Code. No back-and-forth. No "actually, can you change that." No fixing what it got wrong on the third try. I just gave it this one single prompt and it delivered: scratchpad.aheenam.com

There’s something about history-based fiction that gets me every time. The feeling that the past holds secrets we haven’t uncovered yet. The Venetian Betrayal leans into that perfectly like the previous two already did. Love these Cotton Malone books 📚

Small @buffer.com <-> @bsky.app tip: If you append /rss to a username (like bsky.app/profile/rath...) it will give you the RSS feed for a profile which you can then load inside of Buffer. I have been doing this to stay up-to-date with a few accounts that regularly share interesting articles

Love this! I always wanted to have this one ever since our little one got my office room for his nursery. One side is the office and the other side a home gym. But it’s quite expensive to realize so I have to wait and save a bit for it 😅

Since joining @buffer.com, I've been more active on social media than I've been in years. The team's energy is infectious, and I found myself posting more on LinkedIn, Threads, BlueSky, and Instagram. But with that came an unexpected challenge.

Just published my first macOS app - a menubar tool for checking teammates' time zones! 🎉 Wild part? Fully native SwiftUI despite never writing Swift before. Claude Code helped me learn & ship it. AI can be easily used as a tool for learning new stuff! apps.apple.com/gb/app/offse...

Something, I've done a few times already now when starting a fresh Laravel+Inertia+React project: - Remove shadcn components - Use my own set of components using Radix UI Primitives - Use CVA 1.0 + tw-merge - Use my own Layout components (App & Auth) Should I create a starter kit out of that?
