Any other engineer who thinks that the pre-AI era feels like the pre-Covid life?

Random shower thought: Every SaaS/App these days should have an API and either a CLI or MCP

Clean and minimal looking code is not automatically the better option.

Being here at my son’s nursery during his settling in phase, I’m experiencing how hard the job as a teacher here is. All the different noises, constant chaos everywhere and then the number of kids for so little staff

Is designing for the iPhone Duo with the new camera and tab bar position a new UX pattern or is this already something that the other foldable phones have had already?

Does anyone else has a feeling Claude always tries to active avoid #CSS subgrids? Even if they make perfectly sense?

I would really love to have the iPhone Duo but I think it's best to wait for the next generation of these (if they even get a second gen)

There are days where I wonder if I will ever be able to keep pace with the speed of AI and its development. If I actually want to keep pace with it.

I am deep enough in iOS development that I'm currently trying to set up a deployment pipeline with Xcode Cloud. Would not have thought that I would do this at the beginning of this year 😲

Found the perfect coffee spot near our new apartment that we are about to move to. Next goal: The barista knows my name and what I will order. In a small town like ours, this should be achievable 😁☕

Thoughtful async work isn't a trade-off against speed, but chat is a bad home for it. A sketch of what a wiki-first alternative could look like. rathes.me/blog/en/asyn...

Build Week Day 2 at @buffer.com: I've built a list view for the Idea section. Right now, the Idea space in Buffer offers a Gallery and Board view but neither of these two work for me. 🧵

This week is Build Week at @buffer.com . Imagine it as something like an internal Hackfest or Hackathon. But instead of it being limited to just engineers, everyone is participating. After all, we are all builders now.

றதீஸ் / raðiːs / rathes @rathes.me · 23/06/2026

A little thing that I did recently that helped me quite a lot: I don’t curate what I’m gonna listen anymore. Instead, I just put on Apple Music Radio and just listen to whatever comes. Just a little that that I don’t need to “orchestrate” but it helps and I hope I can add up onto it

I built this in one shot with Claude Code. No back-and-forth. No "actually, can you change that." No fixing what it got wrong on the third try. I just gave it this one single prompt and it delivered: scratchpad.aheenam.com
