That dengerate former colony of ours has been ceaselesly inseminating us with all sorts if funny ideas.

Rather Drawn @ratherdrawn.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

I've followed your work since those early days on DA when posting art online felt new and exciting, now that joy has been corrupted by suspicion and paranoia and for you to face these accusations feels like the final afront... we have to find a way to protect this precious art sharing community.

We have a lot in common with Japan actually, a love of tea and commerce, both very bad at learning other cultures languages and shady imperial past's that we'd rather not talk about or explore in our education system too deeply >_>

This vile language has been creeping into our public service for the last 20 years, like ground prep for privatisation, or atleast eliminating the concept of 'public service' where possible.

I'm really worried that it will limp on because of captured people like this...

These people used to prey on graduates and amatures, surprised they did offer to supplement the payments with "exposure" too...

Utterly shameful, once again everyone's wants art but no one wants to pay for it, certainly not pay an actual artists for it anyway.

I mean that's where they excell sure, still there's almost nothing you can by from Amazon that isn't also on ebay these days, drop shipped or otherwise.

000

Rather Drawn @ratherdrawn.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

Well the company isn't owned by Bezo, that's one plus, otherwise similar service but with a much higher second-hand and small retailer base 🤷‍♂️

I use ebay when not buying local, though suspiciously some sellers send their items in amazon parcels...

There's no way the plebiscite media here will ever glaze the French, maybe in another millennium... For now I think "Allo Allo" is the closest we've ever come to a fair depiction...

I can't wait to have an epipen shoved into my eye socket by the retirement home nurse robot, "Sorry that was on me, I shouldn't have put that there, I'll rectify this at once" the robot orders me an eye patch from Amazon as I lay dying on floor...

I enjoyed it overall but I think after such a great build-up revealing the monster at all was a bit anti climatic, the mystery is often more compelling than the answer and this was true again with Backrooms. You never see the Witch in Blair Witch and that worked great, more of that flavour needed.

Silent Hill 2 was released 25 years go in Japan. It still remains a very formative experience for me, I've painted a few homages over the years. #silenthill #silenthill2 #illustration

I remember my grandad had a pile of extensive notes and diagrams in the box when he let us use his copy, treated now as sacred texts since his passing.

Briefly panicked when @ratheranimated.bsky.social sent a message claiming "the end times are upon us" but I realised he meant the total warhammer update... not one of the 15 real life end times scenarios that have been steadily queuing up this year...

90s Dad's just nonchalantly exposing their kids to Doom. For balance my mum exposed me to Quake though >_>

I think a lot of people genuinely mistake the warm feeling of clarity from drinking tea or coffee to be the caffeine kicking in, rather than just the body naturally reacting to the sudden introduction of "holy shit delicious hot liquid" pouring down your gullet.

Having been forced to work in an office environment with mostly younger people I can report that work place etiquette was there for a reason, some of these weans treat the place like their childhood bedroom...

This was literally in the newspaper this morning... apparently its a generational thing, kids not vibing with old social norms. Personally I would never take a drink into an interview.

When I started down the road of online artist people would bashfully post; "H-here is my art, y-you can pay me three thrupenny bits if it takes your fancy..." Now these days every other art post is; "I am three days from missing rent again please help..." This is where we are now.

Brave would be writing something that didn't talk down to or patronise the audience, I really wanted to enjoy Jodie Whittakers spell, but they tripped at the first hurdle, not that Peter was given much to work with either.

Its pretty shocking how little grasp even the most well meaning Americans have of other cultures and society's, even within the anglosphere, but we never stop hearing about how things work over there...

Has any video game character ever had armpit hair? Is it an extra detail that everyone forgets? Not that I doubt it being intentional, just very strange to render a hairsuit gentleman but get squeamish about the pits...
