One day I WILL travel to India. It has always held a special place in my heart, yet a country I only understand via the literature I’ve read. In the meantime this new epic (in every sense) will suffice #booksky #amreading #GreatEasternHotel #RuchirJoshi @4thestatebooks.bsky.social

72 hours until I can get back here. The mountain of work and life-stuff that needs to happen between now and then seems insurmountable but Connemara, I’m coming for you 💚

The best 3 days solo writing retreat. I’ve come back, not necessarily refreshed (as I was writing like a demon day & night), but with renewed clarity and focus. Very grateful to have had this opportunity in the beautiful Surrey Hills. #writingcommunity #retreatyourself

Happiest of publication days to @laurasrobinson.bsky.social and this absolutely stunning book #TheArtOfALie. It was wonderful to hear Laura talk about her inspiration behind the book & some of the research she undertook. Here she is last night at her event at #WareLibrary. Out now! 🎉💚🍍

Anyone read this? Have read and loved An Instance of the Fingerpost and Stones Fall by the same author but a bit worried about the sci fi element in this which is not normally my go to… #Booksky #amreading

The bookish community on socials is always wonderful & I’ve been lucky enough to meet some of the people IRL. @emreadsthebooks.bsky.social is one of those treasures. When I posted last week about a garden book to read to one of my lovely elderly clients she suggested then sent me this! #booksky

Don’t know why I left this prequel on my shelf so long (so long I seemed to end up with the hardback and paperback version 🤣) but I’m loving it even more than The Priory. I do love fantasy when it’s as well written and character driven as this! #ADayOfFallenNight #SamanthaShannon
