iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

I'm assuming the lack of CB consistency year-to-year is a symptom of the fact that CB play is as dependent on all the other DEF factors at play. I don't really hate the contract but drafting him in the 1st round was the original sin even if he ended up being elite.

I think the bigger issue is defense in general is a "weak link" sport. You're almost certainly better off spending $33 million on a few above average players than one elite player. But obviously you want as many elite players as possible...

It would be more impressive if they didn't 'pause' your streak if you miss days. (Actually, no that's still impressive)

Someday, @chess.com will stop emailing me about my chess streak. But that day is not this day.

Can we all agree the severed arm in this scene is the worst effect in the movie? They knocked dinosaurs out of the fucking park (NPI) but the severed arm looks like something I'd cook up as a last minute Halloween costume. Madness.

I think I do understand what a suspension entails. In 2000, the Wolves owner was suspended for a full year and 15 years later, Ballmer started a pattern of league-breaking salary-cap circumvention. Clearly the suspension route wasn't enough to stop the behavior.

AndyRML @ratemyleague.com · 03/09/2026

Sucks for the fans but just suspending/fining Ballmer would be a green light for every NBA franchise to circumvent the cap at will.

Home dynasty league’s draft is tonight! It’s Year 25! Our startup was an in-person auction in 2002. Time flies and all that.

Nah it’s everyone else who is wrong! (That’s the proper FF mindset I think) 😂

Imma let you finish but Central Market is the GOAT grocery store and I shop at Wegmans every week now that I’m back on the east coast. #fightingwords

I’m gonna need you to explain that to my 1.5 year old 😭

Some late straggler live #SFB16 drafts started this past weekend and are currently in R13. I think it'll make sense to the do the big ranking effort next week for anyone who is looking out for it!

This is clear Chimere Dike slander! 😛

RateMyLeague exists to help with league engagement though I dunno if it can *save* a dying league. Otherwise do your own podcasts, articles, interviews, etc. A league-specific Hall of Fame is fun as well if the league has enough history.

Replying, quoting, etc still gives that speech life it otherwise wouldn't get, but completely ignoring it belies the fact that it's not just some crazy person on the street screaming into the void. It has permanence online. I'm not sure what the *right* response to it is.

AndyRML @ratemyleague.com · 29/06/2026

I'm of two minds on this. Before social media, I always thought it was best practice to just ignore not just trolls, but very obvious incendiary, incorrect speech. That stuff needs oxygen to exist and apathy is a powerful weapon against crazy. But social media is oxygen in its own right.

AndyRML @ratemyleague.com · 28/06/2026

That stuff is the real deal (with Bill McNeal)

Jamal Lewis had a 1,000 yard season with the Browns but didn’t have a single 100-yard game. Not sure anyone else accomplished that.

Bluesky was just desirous that I’d find this.

Kishi Bashi - Lighght One of the most life-affirming albums I've ever heard. Feels like breathing.

All I heard was “Let’s Go Brunson”

I guess I should be mad that something is trying to replace my beautiful product with AI but I can't help but find it funny that it's calling RML a solid, human-made option. I should use that for marketing. 😂
