SIEGESVIPER @rashomon.vip · 05/09/2026Let it Die is finally free from its F2P and P2W hell with a proper offline mode now. Been such a blast being able to play without getting nickle and dimed for everything. Check out this Rugrats-ass chud on a poster I found tho. 100 1
SIEGESVIPER @rashomon.vip · 19/08/2026Let's go one step further and just call souls-likes memo-likes since pattern recognition and routing were established in memo-shmups since the 80's! 011 1

SIEGESVIPER @rashomon.vip · 16/08/2026Seems like multiple emus have in fact added support for the new Steam Controller! Playing PCSX2 with it has been a ton of fun, although I wish the extra buttons worked better for pressure modifier macros. 000 0
SIEGESVIPER @rashomon.vip · 12/08/2026Are you guys gonna make a limited edition disc drive too because the yellow on white is gonna look HORRENDOUS! 😂 000 0
SIEGESVIPER @rashomon.vip · 12/08/2026Brother gifted me a Steam controller for my birthday and its sick aside from the fact using it outside of Steam is annoying. I've been doing most of my gaming outside of Steam on emulators and DRM-free stuff nowadays which makes this a paperweight. Maybe there will be a third party converter soon? 000 0
SIEGESVIPER @rashomon.vip · 12/08/2026I remember when I went through the entire show a few years ago. Still had a ton of fun even in the first season! TNG is THE Star Trek show for me. 120 2
SIEGESVIPER @rashomon.vip · 07/08/2026Bushiroad forgot to include the Weiss Schwarz card in the PS5 SKUs of Macross Shooting Insight's special edition, which is kind of funny. Although even if I'm in the US, I filled out the JP form for the card and they sent it overseas! 100 1

SIEGESVIPER @rashomon.vip · 30/07/2026There's just way too much to go through if I was going to make this list in general, so I cheated a little and made it about #shmups only! Even then, I had to think quite a bit. But I do think Ikaruga is a game that isn't really enjoyable unless you're a power player. 130 3
SIEGESVIPER @rashomon.vip · 29/07/2026Word of advice to use the manual checkpoint saving often! For me anyways, SPV3 wasn't doing a good job of registering checkpoints and would often set me back a few minutes. 000 0
SIEGESVIPER @rashomon.vip · 29/07/2026VITA MEANS LIFE! Got the ol' PSV up and running again, been picking away at some games here and there but damn Soul Sacrifice Delta has become my current fixation. One of those MonHun-adjacent games but with a great amount of heart and character of its own! 020 2

SIEGESVIPER @rashomon.vip · 26/07/2026That's why I got this bad boy. Comes with extra letter-less buttons! Hire me 8bitdo lmao 000 0
SIEGESVIPER @rashomon.vip · 03/07/2026This was a problem solved in the arcades where games added a dedicated autofire button alongside the normal fire button which you could use for charge shots. I think there's room on SF's controls for it. At least in Prime's case you get stronger beams that require less spamming. 010 1
SIEGESVIPER @rashomon.vip · 03/07/2026Not really much to do on POPS after the story so this was a welcome edition. I loved going through the infinity missions with different times. My GOAT was a Tengu soldier called Shadow, guy was a hard carry. 100 1

SIEGESVIPER @rashomon.vip · 03/07/2026BATTLE GAREGGA! Damn that reminds me I need to grab that JPN Premium Edition. Those physical releases are gonna go the way of the dodo; its gonna suck so bad. 000 0

SIEGESVIPER @rashomon.vip · 02/07/2026I think the only reason digital has been nice is BECAUSE the physical releases were always there so companies needed to give you some incentive to buy digital ala sales and other goods. There's been some sub $10 gems on PSN sales but I wonder if that will still be as prevalent. 110 1
SIEGESVIPER @rashomon.vip · 02/07/2026Here's hoping the recent developments are a shot in the arm for the jailbreak scene. Keeping the PS5 unplugged now and crossing my fingers! 010 1

SIEGESVIPER @rashomon.vip · 25/06/2026A fine game but I never had interest in replaying because of the lack of a post game free play where you can play as any character. Also I'm just not a fan of how Platinum's games play for the most part, except for a few titles like Vanquish and Mad World. 000 0
SIEGESVIPER @rashomon.vip · 25/06/2026They REALLY probably shouldn't have led with that trailer showing all of the FE and MegaTen protagonists together. I was so ready to have my boys Ike and Sho tear through Blasted Tokyo. 010 1
SIEGESVIPER @rashomon.vip · 25/06/2026Onimusha 3 continues. Man this got me good. Visual humor hits different. 010 1
SIEGESVIPER @rashomon.vip · 25/06/2026Growing up, I got majority of my games from swap meets where every game was just $20 regardless of generation. The newest stuff would be priced accordingly, but damn it was a good time getting Doom 3 Collector's Edition on OG Xbox for 20. 000 0
SIEGESVIPER @rashomon.vip · 25/06/2026This thing was my world. I only had it for a few months before my brother did the Pandora's Battery hack on it and gave me Bleach Heat the Soul. I ended up putting so much time into the damn thing because I never had to pay for games lol. 010 1
SIEGESVIPER @rashomon.vip · 25/06/2026Are more ACAs hitting PC now? I remember for the longest time it was only the Neo Geo stuff available. I own all of the Metal Slugs on the Xbox app. 000 0
SIEGESVIPER @rashomon.vip · 25/06/2026Some of my favorite stuff came out with games like MGS4 and Lost Odyssey. Then you get to that second half where everything was trying to be CoD. Series like Ace Combat and Resident Evil were tainted by publisher desire to chase after those mainstream big bucks. 000 0
SIEGESVIPER @rashomon.vip · 25/06/2026It's the final result of gaming going mainstream during the 7th generation, when CoD took over the zeitgeist and showed the corpos how much money was being left on the table when it came to gaming. You can see the difference between the first and second halves of the 360 era. 110 1
SIEGESVIPER @rashomon.vip · 25/06/2026Panzer Dragoon, Radiant Silvergun, Battle Garegga, Gungriffon, Enemy Zero... the Saturn has way too many greats that didn't make the jump to other platforms of the generation. Even with the games that did, often than not they looked better visually on Saturn like Thunder Force V. 120 2
SIEGESVIPER @rashomon.vip · 24/06/2026More Onimusha 3, kind of insane how stacked the voice cast is for the English audio. Robin Atkin Downes, Paul Mercier, and Jennifer Hale in the main roles. This game just slaps on all fronts. The second game is a bit of a slog but this has been firing on all cylinders. 110 1
SIEGESVIPER @rashomon.vip · 24/06/2026I get the appeal of original hardware but after days tinkering with various retro setups I just prefer the ease of having the software and games on my PC. All I use my Steam Deck for is emulation, went through almost the entirety of the PCE/TG-16 library on that thing. 110 1
SIEGESVIPER @rashomon.vip · 24/06/2026I actually found AM2R easier than Returns and Dread. Guess it might be how wired my brain is to classic Metroid that Mercury Steam's take on the formula felt unwieldy for me. 030 3
SIEGESVIPER @rashomon.vip · 24/06/2026All the N64 controllers I had when I was a kid already had the issue where the stick wasn't stiff enough (heh) and would wobble around quite a bit. Ergonomics wise, I gotta go with the Saturn's 3D pad being a better feeling controller for me personally. 000 0
SIEGESVIPER @rashomon.vip · 24/06/2026I got the earlier JP release on my Switch 2 and got my ass absolutely filtered by the first couple of stages lol. Think I need to hit up those old guides I used on the PSP to get through the game. 100 1
SIEGESVIPER @rashomon.vip · 23/06/2026Started Onimusha 3 last night and surprised how much the visuals hold up. I guess that's what you get when you can make when you only have to worry about one set of hardware. Resolution aside, the 3D environments look pretty sick. Forgot to take some snaps in Paris; that first stretch is awesome. 030 3
SIEGESVIPER @rashomon.vip · 22/06/2026#shmupsunday anyone? Going through Treasure's Sin and Punishment, a snazzy rail-shooter for the N64. Japanese exclusive, so the first way I experienced this was the Wii virtual console release when I was a kid. Definitely was one of those formative experiences! 030 3
SIEGESVIPER @rashomon.vip · 21/06/2026Well that's a wrap on Black Mesa. Just a super awesome game all around, with the new Xen being a nice cherry on top. One of the best first person shooters out there, on par with the original and the rest of Valve's catalogue. 000 0
SIEGESVIPER @rashomon.vip · 21/06/2026All that's left is Xen, which I will finish tomorrow! Black Mesa is such a blast! Definitely one of those rare PC exclusives that everyone should enjoy. Insane to think that this was a free project at first. 000 0
SIEGESVIPER @rashomon.vip · 21/06/2026The great game modes of the past were built out of community interaction and involvement, something that has gone to the wayside as big multiplayer games are now vehicles for live service monetization. GMod is the last great example IMO, where stuff was made for the love of the game and not money. 000 0
SIEGESVIPER @rashomon.vip · 21/06/2026More Black Mesa today. I know there's a handful of other Source-based games, the Titanfall series being one of them, but its stuff like BM that captures the engine's strengths. Great interactivity and visuals that aren't taxing on the performance. Here's hoping there's something big for Source 2. 000 0
