I made a quick little pouch out of my woven ant bands! I designed 8 pixel charts of different ant species for this project, sized so that each band would be the same length. I chose species with, in my opinion, some of the coolest morphology- especially love the big heads 🐜 #weaving #sewing #ants

Did some more carded fleece samples for @rachelisknitting.bsky.social I took some previously washed fleeces, picked an ounce of locks, and carded them three times each, adding a little sari silk noil after the first pass on the carder. Really happy with this product! 😍 Breed info in the alt text

A batt of spinning fiber sits on a table. Batts are carded sheets of fiber, blended for color or texture or both. This is comprised of merino wool, sari silk noil, and tussah silk. The shades of purple, blue, pink, and black are blended and layered by me on my drumcarder, which creates a complex and gorgeous spinning fiber preparation!

On the floor lays a box, filled with rolled tubes of spinning fiber, called rolags. There are two colorways all lined up in the box. The first contains shades of purple, brown, and green merino, with black tussah silk, and green sari silk noil, which creates tweedy speckles in the fiber. The second is red, purple, and brown merino, with black tussah silk, and gold sari silk noil.

These are some sample colorways for the upcoming Fiber Witch Festival in Salem, MA in April, based on the goddess Persephone.

A sweater in progress is laid out on the ground. It is a solid bright red color, and only the upper back and left shoulder are done. The right shoulder stitches have been picked up and are on the needles.

More progress on the Love Note sweater by Tin Can Knits. I even split for sleeves yesterday, hence the blue cords. Socks are maybe dyed by Regia? Knit by me as per usual. Can you see the sparkles in the sweater catching the light? I'm so excited to have a sparkly sweater!! #knitsky #knitting

New project today! The hats are done and I'm moving onto the sweater knit, using Rowan Patina, a sparkly blue mohair blend, and Valley Yarns Charlemont a grey merino, silk, and polyamide blend. The pattern is LoveNote by TinCanKnits. Socks are knit by me and dyed by @valkyriefibers.bsky.social
