fock i forgot to post my art summary hereAAA 2025 was mostly used on ruminating behind the scenes and overpowering my uploading anxiety. it sounds strange coming from an artist who only draws ocs, but i have a hard time being fully self indulgent and sharing it. in 2026 i will be better! ⭐

🦋🌹🐟 Happy one year anniversary to '1951' 🐟🌹🦋 - the bioshock au story i'm writing with one of my best friends @/rapturessaviour.bsky.social thank you for showing me the magic of storytelling through roleplay 🥹✨

a front cover-esque illustration for the first anniversary of a story called '1951' that i am roleplaying/writing with my friend @rapturessaviour.bsky.social

The image features a center art-deco-like golden frame, adorned in various fish, with a rose and blue butterfly at the top. Inside the frame are three scenes featuring the same couple, the characters Colin (brunette) and Fenneden (blonde).
The top scene is them in masquerade outfits, dancing in front of a giant view into the turqouise bottom of the ocean that colors them so.
The middle has them holding each other as well as the golden frame, their faces intimately close. Blue light hits them from the back, a warm orangey red lighting up their faces.
The bottom scene has the two sitting down, Fenneden with a slice of red relvet cake on a plate, Colin with a book resting on his thigh. The blonde holds a fork ahead of the face of the brunette who, intentionally, has cream cheese on his nose. Beneath them is the title of the story, 1951, followed by a subtitle reading 'Am I corrupting you? Are you corrupting me?' - as well as a gramophone to the very right.
Behind the gold framing is various side characters, each glaring in various ways.

A quick elevator pitch of the plot in case you're curious: "In the underwater city of Rapture, the tailor Fenneden Fergus picks out the amnesiac pianist Colin Faust as his next muse for an ongoing sick desire, under the guise of 'Romance.' Colin quickly falls under the spell, the proces of affection simultaniously triggering long-lost memories, revealing the musician's true brutal nature. Secretly a homicidal maniac, Fenneden is the one person eagerly delighted by what he uncovers in Colin, causing him to suddenly feel DIFFERENTLY towards this subject compared to his usual ones.
Slowly, they pull each other away from each of their initial hoped outcomes, love and death, and meet somewhere in the middle."

A sepia tone painting of a man in a masquerade mask holding his partner by the shoulders from behind, both of them dressed to the nines and appearing very infatuated with each other

🖤🤍💜 happy pride, specifically to the aces 🖤🤍💜 from my ace ocs to you(rs)

drawing of my characters (left to right) Park, Boris, Aiden & Cassidy, all suited up and arranged in the colors of the asexual flag

so, in case you didnt know, im on the asexual spectrum, as i identify as aroace. i used to be very ashamed, as most ace circles unfortunately have a very black and white thinking... and i understand why that occurs. but asexuality is a spectrum, and its very important to remember that. my GOD do i hate the stereotype of all of us being goth sourpuss introverts that despise human interaction as a whole... while those people certainly exist, its important to remember that ace people come in every shape, color and size, just like everyone else. and because of that, i thought id celebrate the ace spectrum a little.

so if you're unaware, these four are on the ace spectrum as well. And although i secretly really despise the colors of the asexual flag, i cant deny that the tone/hues of these character's hair perfectly aligns with the ace flag, and i had to jump on it. and they couldn't be more different types of people either! i could go into detail about that but thats what my character bios are for...
for specifics in terms of where they land on the ace spectrum however...
Park and Boris are both aroace. Park is definitely sex repulsed, and also kind of repulsed by romance. These traits mostly stem from trauma.
Meanwhile, Boris is mostly indifferent. He sees intimacy as a tool for manipulation and power, therefore has a hard time responding to it in a traditional sense, though it isn't impossible.
Aiden is demisexual, and very polyamorous. He is a hopeless romantic and LOVES the puppy love stage, but its difficult to get to his core, such is why his many flings usually don't last very long. But he has a base with his partners that he always comes back to.
Cassidy mostly just wears the asexual label. She is somewhat indifferent, but less so than Boris, much prefering other types of intimacy if possible.

🔹🏳️‍⚧️ PERSEVERE 🏳️‍⚧️🔹 i adore and am inspired by my trans friends, peers and mutuals, forever and ever. i will defend you and your rights till the day i die. this piece is in honor of you.

An illustration of my original character, Rasha, sitting deteminedly in the middle of a pack of shadowy, black wolves, with a muted cathedral behind them. he is clothed with but a loincloth, with scratches and bruises across his tan body. two, bright pink and blue colored surgery scars glow from beneath his chest, and his hair is vibrant in the same hues with a glowing crown emitting from it. his expression is determined, frustrated but ready. He carries a pole with a large, long transgender flag.
The wolves around him are rabid, their eyes glowing menacingly, their mouths drooling in hunger.
Above them, a blue and pink sun is arising.

description:
tho i am genderfluid, i dont use the trans label, HOWEVER.... ive never met a trans person that wasn't awesome, and i adore and am inspired by my trans friends, peers and mutuals, forever and ever. i will defend you and your rights till the day i die. this piece is in honor of you.
the character pictured, Rasha, is also trans!!! and though i don't often express anger with him, here, i wanted to show im pissed off, and ready to fight because damnit he's bein tested with everything that's going on...

one could deduce this to be about fending off bigotry, the wolves resembling rabid injustice - and ill definitely take that.
but, if you know rasha at all, you'll know a wolf/dog is his representative animal, and i often display him as a wolf or with wolves by his side. so, my starting point was actually for this to be about the internalized struggle. rasha himself resembles the colorful desire to be who he truly is, and the wolves are also him, but they are just the learned instincts of fitting in, laying low and conforming. the 'inner trained dogs...' they are programmed to attack what is different in order to protect from harm, because lord knows how painful it can be to be yourself.

but now, he must eradicate those coping mechanisms, as much as they mean to defend. because a better, more vibrant life lies ahead.

Hello #PortfolioDay !! 💥 My name is Nanna, I'm a danish illustrator who mostly draws and writes for my 7 original characters! I'll be opening commissions very soon to cover some expenses, so I figured i'd get some of my stuff out there 🫶

Illustration featuring my characters Boris (left) and Connor (right)
Boris is standing in an overgrown alleyway in the shade, lifting up his hand to motion holding a potted orchid that he dropped by the sight of Connor before him. Connor is on a gray scooter, illuminated by light, carrying a shining orchid in the scooterbasket.

Illustration of my character Mu, looking into a bathroom mirror. His real self holds an electronic toothbrush, but his reflection carries a hobbyknife.

An illustration of my character Cassidy. It shows her seated on a swing, with her dark hair and ghost companions swirling around her. Her one eye is lit up in a bright lilac, the general color pallette a grayish blue purple.

Illustration of my characters Sol (Left) and Park (Right) dancing in a warm-lit living room. A patch of flowers grow from Park's feet as she moves.

The couple is in movement, Colin sporting a flattering scarlet and black dress with long organza hanging from the sleeves. Fenneden wears mostly white, fading into the background, contrasted with dark red flowers peppering along his shoulder, and dark crass leather gloves.
A minty light emits from above, while a saturated orange comes from below.

🍭 overwhelmed

An illustration of my character Aka, leaning over the edge of her bed to observe the mess around her room. the light of a clear blue sky is behind her, though she is covered in lilac shadows, a yellow-lit cigarette the only thing illuminating her face. All the clutter is so cute and colorful in appearance, but Aka's face suggests something more dire in expression.

description:
trying to illustrate the overwhelm of bedrotting with my character aka - i think she might be a little guilty of it herself... sleeping in till the afternoon, staying in bed all day, not remembering when you last showered, letting cans and bottles, bags and trinkets clutter the space to reflect the mind - only having the tiniest comb for hair twisted and tangled just about anywhere. the only thing one can stick to doing is cheap seratonin kicks and vices... it's a sorry state i feel myself getting into way too often lately and its harder to get out of than it looks, which makes it feel that much more humiliating to be in.
i tried to make this illustration sort of contradict its message in its visuals on purpose, cos i just like to trick the brain upon viewing.... like how bedrotting and depression in general is like a play of facade. 'im fine its fine' but its not fine. if you look closely at her face, youll know its not fine, but most wont look long enough to realize. the lock around her neck symbolizing feeling trapped.... cigarette in her mouth to... weirdly contrast the cutesy elements everywhere and show how one sticks to vices when theyre in survival mode. bad times...

Fen and Colin are within a Bathysphere, thousands of fathoms deep under the ocean. They’re surrounded by water, fish, wET, seaweeds and are completely alone…no one to see, hear or perceive their existence together.
Fen is obscured by part of the bathysphere (intended), and Colin can be seen smiling up at him, fingers laced together in his lap. He has a book behind him, glasses set atop. They’re enjoying a conversation.

Two men, both standing adjacent to a piano (ref was taken from one of Leyendecker’s pieces so you know the composition is God Tier) one plays soulfully (Colin) whilst the other hovers over him, the shadow over his face making it appear menacing despite the tender hand placed both on the piano man’s side, and on the sheet music being flipped.
The sheet music reads “Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea”, a classic tune from the 1930’s.
Around them is a golden border in the style of Art Deco (feat. Roses and an upside down cross because I’m a cheeky cunt) and the title “1951”
