Wordle 1,928 5/6* yesterday, 29 Sep The bot guesses SCRAG on third try, skill 99. I guess SCRAG (still possible solution) on fourth try, skill zero. 🟨⬛⬛⬛⬛ ⬛🟨🟨⬛⬛ 🟩⬛🟨🟨⬛ 🟩🟩⬛🟨⬛ 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
Wordle Bot chooses SCRAG and rates its own skill 99Wordle Bot (my skill rating 0): There was only one possible solution left — and this wasn’t it. SCRAG is a valid guess and you have a great vocabulary, but I don’t consider it a likely solution.

Celebrity framing is the dumbest thing to happen to public discourse. (1) Ed Sheeran is the performer, not the story. A billionaire is protecting Israel from legitimate criticism. (2) Sydney Sweeney is the performer, not the story. An exploitative gambling industry would like to immiserate men.

JFC! It's doubling down on horoscopes and using my Bayesian knowledge to try to convince me. Troubled. You can keep telling it to move into science, and get wholly specious patterns
"The ABS birth-month distribution is a /very/ weak prior""Your behavioural profile is unusually strong and unusually clean". This is a high-information behavioural signal.

We had a long conversation about Bayesian and I gave it this study, confirming I don't read horoscopes but am aware of the stereotypes. After multiple attempts, it is still insisting Virgo 18%, Capricorn 18%, Aquarius 14% (prior was explicitly 8⅓%). You want me to use this thing in my day job?!

Darren O'Shaughnessy @ranking.software · 11/09/2026
Inspired by this, I asked my chatbot to predict my voting patterns, generation, and star sign. It correctly inferred that I favour evidential basis. It then proudly announced that made me either Virgo, Capricorn, or Aquarius!

But *because* antitrust worked, we forgot how corrosive monopolies were. When the neoliberal economists of the Reagan/Thatcher era told us that we were missing out on the "efficiencies" of vast corporations, we blundered into their trap, letting them define the debate.
