So uh, a certain someone may have gotten bored and fell into a tiny Magic Assassin's Creed rabbit hole. I remembered Templar Knight exists and thought it'd be fun to make a deck all about it. Then after finally finishing it, i thought: "Why not make an assassin deck to match?" And now I question...

So yeah, hard to do what you want me to do in this STEALTH mission when you won't stop sending the largest patrols with the most tankiest enemies at the objective constantly making it impossible to sneak around. Yaaaaaayyyyy

Like yay, I'll happily silently take out this entire outpost and grab the objective and stuff. Then 5 fucking patrols will swoop in a single time period of 5 minutes that stops me from taking out the entire outpost without getting reinforcements called in.

I've been getting into Helldivers 2 recently, and despite all its problems, I've actually really enjoyed it. I'm a person who actually loves stealth missions in video games, and the commando missions are actually really fun for me as a result. But... they.. they don't feel fun when I go through 'em.

So I've been fucking around a lot with dumb magic the gathering decks and I thought it'd be fun to make a Ms. Bumbleflower group hug deck. But turns out it's less group hug and more "Fuck you, take this card, take it, take it, take your stupid card draw. I don't care if you don't want it."

Cast bulk up on Narset before declaring attacks. This should leave Narset at 14 power with trample Then, attack your opponent with Narset which will trigger her ability so cast bulk up again Now Narset deals 32 trample commander damage. This is a dumb combo but it's fun to me.

Turn 4, I should have enough mana to cast my commander of Narset, Enlightened Exile. Doesn't really matter what happens this turn since Narset can't attack right now. Then turn 5, the final turn hopefully. Cast some random cheap instant/sorcery then move to combat. Then, this is where the fun begins

Also this silly deck has a kind of cool combo that wins the game on like turn 5? So it goes like this, get some way of getting both blue and red mana by turn 2, then cast Balmor Battlemage captain. Turn 3, do whatever honestly, playing a mana rock or two helps but it kind of doesn't matter.

So go take a literature class and pay attention and be involved in that class. It will help you understand stories like TADC's so much better and lead to a better enrichment of your enjoyment. Read between the lines. Look at reality itself. Look at yourself. Then, everything makes a lot more sense.

I'm not mad or angry or upset at anyone who does this. I don't think there's anything wrong with you. I just think one thing. We can improve. And taking a literature class is the best way I can think of that! I'm not qualified to tell you how to do these things, but I know there are people who are.

Okay I just wanted to say something about this post I made last night. I don't mean for it to be offensive to anyone at all. I just wanted to say to all the people who look at the story and only really perform a surface level dive that they should look deeper. Read further into the lines.

Oh and also going back to the thing in the first part of all this Take a literature class! It's literally the best thing you can do to actually understand stories and raw author's intent behind them and all the literary elements and actions they take to tell it! It's genuinely wonderful! Take it!

You're misunderstanding the point. Like for example, this post on reddit i took from another bsky post. Jax being trans makes sense so that they can represent those aspects of a trans person. A lot of trans people are mentally ill Wants of suicide and self harm are something a lot of us face

TADC is a beautifully written show and I loved every bit of it. It's funny, it's somehow really realistic, it's profound, and it's message really is impacting. But not a lot of people seem to understand the story beats at all. Like all the things you point out as "mistakes" or "misinterpretations"

Okay, so seeing all the discourse everyone's had whenever a new TADC episode released has really had me thunking... Has anyone ever gone to like a literature class? Ever? Because yeah there are some people who can actually understand and interpret TADC's story well. Then there's everyone else.

So I basically ended up making this four mana perpetual swords combo by tapping 3 to activate skycoach and prepare emeritus so I can pay 1 white to swords anything my opponent has. And this kinda made them really upset and now I feel bad. (Especially since this was my third time playing him)

So like, Emeritus of Truce, kind of bad card. He has swords as a prepare spell but only gets prepared when an opponent controls more creatures. Meet Skycoach Waypoint. Pretty normal colorless land, but it's second ability is pretty neat since it can prepare any creature.

Okay, it's late but I just felt like I have to say this. I'm a pretty avid magic player, I've only started playing again recently but I enjoy it quite a bit. And I made a pretty fun spellslinger deck and I kinda maybe upset my friend with it because I kinda made a perpetual swords to plowshares..?

In short, I love video games as a medium through which to argue forth ideas and get people to think seriously about intende topics. It's probably one of the best ways to do that because of how many different ways you can express those messages. Yap over, good night.

If a novel proposed the same question Ryoji did, sure I'd sit there and think on it for a good few minutes, but I don't feel like its something so demanding that I have to properly understand it and think of a response to it. Persona 3 did that. It felt like a pressing issue I had to respond to.

Novels and articles and movies and shows can invite one to think about serious topics and they do a good job of it, but a video game can illicit so much more thought about those topics through sheer participation alone and I adore that so much.

I spent like 20 minutes staring at those options. I didn't know what to say. And despite how uncomfortable a moment like that gets me, I love it when games do that. The participation a video game demands of you in those situations actually makes you think so hard about something serious like that.

None of the options felt right.. and I didn't know how to respond at all. I knew the idea that Ryoji presented to me is wrong, it's not a healthy way of approaching life. But.. what he said felt right. I couldn't just tell him he's wrong because he's not. He has a point. But I didn't know..

And he just asks me near the end of the conversation "What's the point of making all these connections with people if we're just going to die in the end?" And I genuinely just sat there looking at the dialogue options unsure of what to say. I feel like I should comfort him about it but...
