👀"If we see that a candidate’s talking about something like democracy over cost of living, then like that’s when they should not expect to see help from us" JICYMI - House Majority Pac (HMP) the establishment super pac for House Dems - don't want Dems to be talking about threats to our democracy.
"HMP’s red line: Affordability
House Majority PAC President Mike Smith made a lot of news on our latest episode of “Fly Out Day.”

But here’s something that stuck out to us the most: the House Democratic super PAC won’t spend a dime to elect Democrats who aren’t speaking about the economy or rising costs. This comes as HMP and other political organizations are beginning to make “cold-blooded decisions about when and where [they] actually spend.”

“We’ve been very clear to our candidates,” Smith said. “Anyone that’s not hyper-focused on cost of living and the economy as their No. 1 issue, don’t expect to see any support from House Majority PAC.”

Here’s an interesting quote from Smith aimed at candidates running on saving democracy:

“Democracy is a really important issue at the end of the day. If we see that a candidate’s talking about something like democracy over cost of living, then like that’s when they should not expect to see help from us because we want them laser focused on the thing that matters most to voters, which is the economy.”

This is a pretty extraordinary position coming from the largest outside group spending for House Democrats. HMP is demanding message discipline and is prepared to use that as a litmus test to decide how to use its limited resources on an expanding map.

The super PAC has booked more than $280 million in ads across 70-plus markets."

Imagine shaking hands with the man you exposed as a pedophile. It’s time to kill off the president’s role in this awards ceremony. Trump grins and throws up his hands repeatedly as the Wall Street Journal receives an award for their coverage of Trump's ties to Jeffrey Epstein

Amnesty International put out a major report documenting the influence of UK based anti trans gender critical organizations and their funding. Within hours, GC groups threatened defamation lawsuits and Amnesty was forced to pull it down. Proving the point they're anti rights. Anyways, here it is.

This is a really good explainer about the mortality estimates around USAID. One big point is that dismantling USAID also dismantled one of the main sources of mortality data in some of these regions. Early indicators of mortality are very worrying.
I met with, first of all, a woman named Angelina David, who is the clinical manager in Panyijiar for the International Rescue Committee clinics. She was overseeing the clinics that were shut down and could tell me exactly what happened. It was a complete shutdown, and a scramble, because there were medicines and other things on the shelves they didn’t want looted, so they had to get out to these places—and they’re very far away. You have to travel, in some cases, seven or eight hours in order to get to the extent of what’s there.

I then went and visited some of those facilities, and I connected, with her help, to the subcounty chiefs—they’re called the payam administrators—who keep their own records of deaths. So one of the things I found was that their own records showed that they are measuring an over-all tenfold increase in child and adult deaths.

Wait. A tenfold increase?

Yes.

Here's the story about the master list Trump probably wants to sell. www.nytimes.com/2026/06/29/u...
The Trump administration is demanding that American intelligence officials turn over the names of all foreign espionage targets, including suspected spies and potential recruits, to create a master list that some officials fear will be misused or compromise operations, according to people familiar with the matter.

The effort by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence has intensified in recent months, frustrating counterparts at the F.B.I. and C.I.A., who are skeptical of the claims that a master list is necessary to avoid inadvertent conflicts between agencies and to better track foreign intelligence threats in real time. The office was established in the wake of the Sept. 11 attacks to streamline coordination among the intelligence agencies.

Senior counterintelligence officials at the F.B.I. and the C.I.A. have so far resisted those demands, the people familiar with the matter said, and the effort has been mostly unsuccessful. Officials still cannot agree on the most basic details, including how a list of what are known as foreign intelligence threat actors would be created, maintained and kept secure, the people said.

There's a prison revolt at a concentration camp in Texas in solidarity with Minneapolis:

Jazmine Ulloa

Hundreds of immigrant mothers and children detained at a South Texas facility on Saturday protested the killing of a 37-year-old man in Minneapolis, chanting "Let me out" and "Libertad," or "Liberty," according to an immigration lawyer who witnessed the demonstration.

Eric Lee, the lawyer, said he had been waiting for his client in the visitation area of the family detention center in Dilley, Tex., when detention officials abruptly asked him to leave. Once outside, he peered through a chain-link fence and saw hundreds of women and children walking out of the facility and chanting in protest.

Lee said his client later told him on the phone that he and other detainees were outraged over the latest killing in Minneapolis and the detention of Liam Conejo Ramos, the 5-year-old boy from Ecuador detained with his father in Minneapolis and sent to Texas.
