Alice and Attwell were simply planned to be the lady and lord of the Everlaine house, and I didn't consider their line until wayyy too late. The MC should also have living family from her paternal grandmother's side and paternal great-grandmother's house... Just ignore it, okay? 😆❤️

RandomKelsey @randomkelsey.bsky.social · 7h

Alice and Attwell (maternal grandparents) had MC's mother when they were young (19). Their parents should be in their 60s or 70s when MC is born. Attwell is canonically the younger son of his House, which means he should have at least one sibling with children of their own to carry the family name.

Facing my greatest oversight in reworking the early chapters of #kingdomofsun: that my MC's maternal great-grandparents and her maternal grandfather's family should totally all be alive and existent in the story and...aren't. There are already too many damn characters, alright? 😂😅

Finally finished extracting all the #KingdomofSun chapters from Tapas. While backed up on online and on desktop, I knew some had small changes made after posting. Now to go sort out the four copies of old drafts stored throughout all my programs! Spring cleaning in fall 🌺🍂

More pictures from my walk. The sun was casting such a wonderful golden haze through the trees, so it was unfortunate my phone couldn't quite pick that up. But that's what memories are for, right?

Indulged my inner child and bought a box set of 30th anniversary #Pokémon cards. Mostly wanted some cute #Pikachu ones, and I got a special illustrated card! No clue what I'm going to do with them, lol, but opening the packs was fun.

#Tapas closing, though sad, has been a much-needed break. There is a lot I haven't been able to do due to a lack of free time. Took a #walk and just...kept going. 4.5 miles. The sunset was beautiful.

Amaranthine has moved over to #Pinya! I'll be uploading the original chapters on Mondays, which will hopefully allow me time to buffer out chapters for more consistent updates. pinya.io/novels/Amara... #Amaranthine #webnovel #dnd #d&d #mywriting #fantasy

Hello! This is Random Kelsey, author of Kingdom of Sun! Tapas's impending shutdown is a hard gut punch, but, ultimately, it's their loss. You're all amazing! Feel free to hang out as the dust settles and the path for my stories' continuation is made. How about some cute pet pics? #tapas #kos

In #Suffering in #Epic, I think it's funny to imagine if Ody accidentally made another baby with Penelope before he left. So, the siren saying he has a daughter is correct--thinking showing Daddy his baby girl will win him over--but not realizing this news naturally never reached him. Whoops.

James Patterson books are the McDonalds of the literary world: mass produced, the work is done by others while the head guy gets the gains, fine to enjoy but definitely not gourmet, oversaturates the market, and overshadows the little guy. Thoughts? #library #novels

My biology textbook lists the pros and cons of different types of contraception. The other methods have more scientific cons, but for abstinence it's just "difficult to do." Book is saying people just like to f*ck 😂

Supposed to have a fun morning cooking various potato recipes for work. Metal tongs pinch my finger and gush blood from the tip. Blood almost gets over the potatoes. Bandage wound, but now the accordion potatoes fall apart since I can't pick up them up properly. Sad day.

Can someone explain why Hermes gave Odysseus back the windbag? Obviously, Ody needs it for plot reasons for 600 Strike, but it otherwise was lost somewhere in the sea after Thunderbringer, right? Is it that Poseidon could have found and opened it to bring back the storm? #epic #epicthemusical

Experiences/opinions on #writing at #Starbucks? I've had such terrible concentration writing at home because I'm thus stuck in the same room all day, but there are unfortunately no quaint local coffee shops to patronize. I work at my local library, so that's not ideal either 😂 #advice #coffee

In March, my world became really stressful and painful. Then I found Follow the Herd on YouTube. Turns out listening to a Dutch woman introducing her Friesian horses in a soft voice while showing them frolicking in a pasture is a brain cleanser. Obligatory Friesian Horse:

"Amaranthine" is a D&D-inspired story based off my first character. Lyall, with a goal on his own, finds companions to take a grander role on the stage of the world than he ever anticipated. Read here: tapas.io/series/Amara... #tapasaftourney #tapas #webnovel #fantasy #dnd #amaranthine

A cover for an action fantasy webnovel titled "Amaranthine". A pale-skinned half-elf with auburn waves conjures a reddish-pink magic in his left hand and grasps with his right hand the hilt of his sword held over his shoulder. He wears metal armor and dons a necklace of moss agate. The background is largely white with glass-like cracks, where that reddish-pink magic and cosmic-like mist flow free. An artist credit at the bottom reads "cover by neige".
