I don't know what the medical protocol even is for a patient who is uncooperative but also not well enough to release under their own recognizance, but I don't imagine whatever that protocol is being conducive to the swiftest possible recovery.

I've now referred Mom to a mental health professional at least an additional two (2) times since she has updated me that Dad is uncooperative and won't talk to even her, and that the hospital has had to force him to take his medication. I don't relish being right, but I TOLD her this would happen.
