Thanks, I loved seeing your paintings!

#FishyFeb was so fun! I loved seeing everyone's interpretations of the prompts. Thanks @victoriapfeiffer.bsky.social for organizing. This month pushed me to try a lot of new things and I was happy with the results. Here are some of my faves and isolated nicknames for the fish. #Art #HandLettering

drawing of two catfish and seaweed with the title "corporal of clean"

Drawing of a cartoon Greenland Shark looking very old with the title "Grandpa Gills"

Drawing of a Leafy Sea Dragon surrounded by seaweed and the title "Camo Khan"

Image hand lettered nicknames "Count Crawl", "Grandpa Gills", King of the Coral", "Solitary Shogun", "Corporal of Clean", and "Herald of Hum"

#FebruArty "Pear" That was a fun month of art. I wish you all the best of luck in all your endeavors and may the barista always have your preferred milk alternative.

I just want to step into this. Great composition!

I thought the prompts were thoughtful! I wonder which ones were giving people trouble. I was able to just search prompt + fish in Google and get a few options.

Personally I liked the broad topics because it allowed me the flexibility to find something that inspired me. And I enjoyed seeing how everyone else interpreted the prompt too

After Effects is such a great tool

Those are some nice dragon tangles

One thing that has stood out to me this fishyfeb is the sheer amount of oddly shaped fish.

Well captured. The landscapes in the southwest are something else.

I love the colors you used! Technological but also fantastical.

so many nice textures within one tiny space!

#FebruArty 26 "Magenta" This drawing, as with many of my drawings, started with a weird little guy. I wanted to see what it would look like if I took the sketch to a final. #HandLettering #ArtYear #Illustration

A goblin like warrior in front of a broken heart. Plus hand lettered titles "A warrior on the road, a lover waits at home" and "Danger lurks, bravery abounds"

#FebruArty X #ArtYear X #FishyFeb "Camouflage" I painted a picture of a camouflaged Leafy Sea Dragon. Unfortunately, it's blended in and I can't seem to find it.

Stylized image of a leafy sea dragon with the type "camo khan" in the corner.

Haha that's the plan. Thank you!

Thanks for the support! I really felt like my style was starting to come together on this one.

#FishyFeb 23 "Ancient" Have you all heard of that Greenland Shark that has been swimming around since the 1600s? This one's for you, old fella.

I'm glad someone caught that 😂 and thanks so much, that's a huge compliment. I would love to do a comic some day

Thank you so much! I love following your art. Can't wait to read the graphic novel.

#Februarty X #FishyFeb "Deep Sea" What can I say about the Cusk-eel. Not much, eel-ikes to keep to himself.

The world is crumbling. My individual world is also crumbling. I am a BIPOC artist and musician. Several years ago, I took my savings and put a down payment on a couple acres for me and my mother. She has terminal cancer and was an English teacher all her life.

Background info: I am trying to work on designs daily, which means each piece on my page is done in 1.5 hours. I am feeling good about where the fish designs are, but something I'd like to work on is the finishing stage: that last 10%, whether it's texture, color correction or accent strokes.

From #fishyFeb 14 "Bat". What it lacks in not looking totally ridiculous, it makes up for in swimming/crawling also totally ridiculously. The Red-Lipped Batfish.

Got a little behind, but #FishyFeb 13 Algae Eater also unintentionally works for #FebruArty 14 Pair. My ongoing goal for Fishy Feb is developing this illustration style and hand lettering a nickname for the fish of the day. #ArtYear #Art #HandLettering

Lol I don't know why I've been thinking about him this week.

Randall DeLozier @randgraph.com · 10/02/2025

Is it a stretch to say there are rings on Earthworm Jim's head and that's what I really wanted to draw today for #FebruArty?
