So here is the wip of back wall to my cemetery wall set. When I was making it, I didn’t take into account the space I would need for the walls that attach. So first picture is the original version, second is after I got done hacking an inch off each side. Hah

A piece of foam terrain. It’s made of pink and white foam and is a pillar on the left and a small wall in the middle. In front of the wall is a statue of a woman’s torso and head covered in a veil. It stands inside a small flower bed and to either side are benches.

The same terrain piece now painted black and also missing the pillar on the left side. The statue is also missing but will be added back later, the pillar is permanently removed though. The tall “metal” fence pieces are also now added to the wall as well. The benches are still in place.

Cool cool. Had plumbing issues last week and a plumber came out on Monday to “solve“ the issue. They didn’t listen to what I said, and left a mess in my laundry room after. Today my laundry room once again backed up. So they are coming back out and I am livid.

Here’s the entrance gate for my cemetery walls that I’m making for the Silver Bayonet! I’m really happy with how it’s coming along. I used the skeletons from a wargames atlantic set, and they will end up being painted like stone.

A terrain piece made of white and pink foam on a piece of chipboard. It is of an entranceway. On either side is a brick pillar with a long stone block over the top. In the center is a black spiked gate made of plastics. On both pillar there is a recess with a skeleton blowing a horn.

So here are all the walls lined up without the fence pieces. Ten full walls, two damaged ones, and then two extra pillars.

Hmm, so when making the back wall for the cemetery walls I apparently messed up on the design a little on where it would connect to the other walls, so now I need to figure out how I want to tackle the solution, right before I was getting ready to get to the painting stage. So that’s annoying.

Also last night I ordered the second printing of a skirmish game rule book for Bloody Hollow. It seems like a small and niche game. But it’s basically like a skirmish game of Tim Burton‘s version of Sleepy Hollow. And I am super excited to get it. Plus I can use all my Silver Bayonet stuff with it!

Here are some pictures of the fences for my cemetery fence set, made of plastic skewers. I added these double sided plaques on two of the fences for some decorations.

I‘ve been mostly uploading solo pictures because I think previously multiple pictures being uploaded were making it time out or something, which is why I always had to keep redoing posts. Since solo puctures i haven't had issues.

So here is the gate I scratch built for the cemetery walls set. I made it out of sheet styrene and those same skewers. Along with some green stuff and green stuff putty. The balsa wood on the sides will act as the hinges so it can be opened. I have magnets inside the gate itself to keep it closed.

A colorful gate made it various plastic skewer pieces and white sheet plastic. On either side is a piece of wood. There is a bunch of detail work made with a green material on it as well.

Ordered the limited edition of Muramasa: Revenant Blades, because it was one of my favorite games on the Wii, and I’ve been awaiting a remaster/re-release for over a decade. I am beyond excited that it’s coming out in like 4 months!

So my next terrain project is going to be a set of scratch built cemetery fences for the Silver Bayonet. Here’s a mock up of one of the pieces, with the fence just laying against it.

A terrain piece. It’s a fence made of pink and white foam, and plastic skewers. There is a tall pillar of foam done up like bricks along with bricks along the bottom. Then leaning against it from behind is 6 vertical plastic skewers with one glued horizontally across them.

The next three Silver Bayonet minis for my Spanish unit, these will be my Infantrymen. They are from Offensive, and I like the poses on them quite a lot, I didn’t want just standing at attention stiffly, and these fit well.

A set of three miniatures. They are all soldiers with rifles. They all have grey coats, with white pants and black top hats. They all have rifles and swords at their hips.

Next round of my Spanish unit for the Silver Bayonet! This time it’s a Sapper, Infantryman (but using as a Grenadier), and Artilleryman. All from the North Star Miniatures range for the game. I really like these guys.

The second round of my Spanish unit for the Silver Bayonet! This time it’s a mounted and foot cavalryman, and a swordsman. The swordsman is from North Star Miniatures, the other ones are from Outpost Wargames. This was my first time painting a horse, and it did not go well. Hah but it looks okay.

Just realized I never posted the first of my Spanish special unit for the Silver Bayonet. So here’s the first three… a doctor, officer, and champion of faith! The miniatures are all from North Star Miniatures.

I just went through all the terrain I’ve made over the last roughly 4 years. It was fun seeing how much I’ve improved at it. But it also felt a little sobering, it seemed like I had made a lot more than I actually have. I still have a good amount though, and can make a cool Frostgrave board!

So I finally made a new set of Frostgrave ruins because I wanted to try out the @wargamesatlantic.bsky.social Sorcerer’s Spoils kit. Also used their Dead Animal Bits as well. I‘m really happy with these ruins, and it was great to make some Frostgrave stuff again!

A set of two terrain pieces and an unpainted miniature in the middle of them. They are both snow covered corner ruins of a building. They are painted in greys and browns. The left ruin has a cabinet on it that has books, bones, and various random items. The right ruin has a small table with a crystal ball and a medium table with random mystical items.

The second round of cultists for the Silver Bayonet! These ones are all Frostgrave cultists 2 and 3 from North Star miniatures! I also used some arms from Perry’s miniatures for the musket ones. I am really happy with them.

A set of three miniatures. They are all wearing grey tunics and have white wraps. Two of them are holding firearms with bayonets and the other is holding a two handed pole arm. The one with the pole arm also has a helmet with antlers.

So here’s the first round of cultists for the Silver Bayonet. The five in fancy clothes are from the official line, the other one is a cultist 3 from Frostgrave. All by North Star Miniatures. I really am quite happy with these guys.

Just got done working on new ruins for Frostgrave! I know, more ruins, right? But it has been a while, and I got the Wargames Atlantic sorcerer spoils set, so I’m making these frozen ruins using them, to give them a little more life. So here’s some work in progress pics.

A single large terrain piece made of pink foam. It’s of the back wall of a building along with two ruined walls. There is also a portion of the roof crumbled as well.

Finished painting and doing the texture paint on my second round of cultists for the Silver Bayonet. Also made sure my new fence for my hot wire cutter was squared up, and then did some test cutting with it. I’m happy with the results!

So here are my second round of fish men. These are from Reaper Miniatures and are going to be used for the Silver Bayonet. They are going to be the tougher version of deep ones to go with the last batch of fish men. I am really happy with them.

Three miniatures on bases. The miniatures of are humanoid fish men. They all have yellow beady eyes, and orange and yellow fins on them, and tan bellies. The two on either side have a blue colored skin on them as well, and the middle one has a grey colored skin. The middle one is also adorned with gold headpiece, skirt, and staff. The bases all have water on them along with green stones that match the terrain.

Three more miniatures that are humanoid fish men. These ones all have orange and yellow fins, tan bellies, and blue skin. They also all have water and green sea stones on the bases.

Last piece of terrain made of sea stone for fish men stuff! this one went through an overhaul to be made bigger. I am mostly happy with it, at least happier than the original version. Will be used for The Silver Bayonet and Frostgrave.

A terrain piece with an unpainted mini for scale. It’s a large green colored stone door partially buried in the ground. Along the base of the terrain is some sand as if by the beach, the hill itself is dirt with grass on it. The large door has an octopus relief on the front and a large handle. There are three gold plaques above the octopus.

Just spent a little time making some furniture out of balsa wood for my next terrain project… I’ll be returning to Frostgrave for it! Making some ruins of a wizard’s workshop, since I got the wargames Atlantic sorcerer’s spoils a while back. I am looking forward to making these, it’s been too long!

So just properly tried using my hot wire cutter for the first time. I had heard complaints that the fence that comes with it is bad, but man, they weren’t kidding. I still managed to get all the foam cut, and in like a third of the time than by hand. Luckily this morning I ordered an mdf fence.

Let’s try this again. New terrain picture day! This is the statue of Dagon that I plan to use for the Silver Bayonet. It may also see some use in Frostgrave as well. I really am happy with this one.

A large terrain piece with an unpainted miniature for scale. The terrain is a large stone statue of various greens. It is in the shape of a large deep sea fish or creature. In the center of the base is a large crystal and on the head a large pearl. You can see the face having four eyes and some sharp teeth. Along the front are carved symbols.

More of the sea stone terrain for scatter. Using for the Silver Bayonet. This time it’s a couple of idols on plinths. They were a last minute addition when I was making the terrain, but I do like them.

Two pieces of foam terrain for table top gaming with an unpainted miniature for scale. The left one are some small stone bricks stacked with a green colored stone piece on top of that. And then a small golden idol of a fish on top of that. The right one is a larger set of stacked stone with a slightly smaller green stone on top of it. Then atop the green stone is a golden idol of an octopus skull. Both have various small items scattered on the stones, including skulls and candles.

Second round of terrain from this batch. These two are a slab of stone laying in the ground and the cube! The cube is like a rosetta stone type thing used for translating the writings. It’ll be a good clue marker type thing. Also both have seaweed made from tissue paper on them, I like the effect.

First picture of the new terrain batch! This is themed after fish men and deep ones, for use in the Silver Bayonet. For a custom campaign I’m writing up. These are various obelisks.

The stones have strange symbols covering them and some other details on the sides. They are all painted in green colors and have golden sand on the bases.

Ended up getting a decent amount of painting done my current terrain project today. Also painted a little on the minis I was working on as well, that had the same type of stones on them. I’m happy with the result. Though the tall obelisk was done first and I got it figured out better after it.

They are all colored a dark green with some blue and green sponge painted onto it over the surfaces. Then they are dry brushed with a grey to give it more of a stone look.

A close up of the tall obelisk terrain from the previous picture held by a hand. It’s painted with a green base color, and then heavy sponged over with a light green. Then it is dry brushed with both grey and an off white. The overall effect makes the dark green barely visible compared to the terrain pieces in the previous picture.
