For my next post exploring my writing through the system Goju Ryu Karate I'm examining the core philosophy of Goju Writing - hard and soft. I'll also explain why I chose this over other systems - this AI produced infographic simplifies my thoughts somewhat. #writingcommunity #amwriting #karate

With news that AI could potentially destroy us all in 10 years everyone understandably points to The Terminator as the apt movie analogy and the one that likely predicted this. Personally I think this one is more appropriate and likely. Don't you think?

Re-reading my New Year goals blog made me sad but actually I can still achieve these goals: 1. Complete Cine Persia 2. Get my brown belt. 3. Review at least 3 coffee shops: quick wins carrying me to year end. I can look back with pride. What are your goals you want to end the year on? #motivation

The 1st story in my anthology 'Apertures of the Void' we meet Daniel, a filmmaker desperate for his work to be seen & acknowledged. But major festivals won't recognise his work - they barely know him. So, Daniel uses extreme terrifying acts for his films to be seen & recognised. #writingcommunity

It's been tough year after year for my family, and for me personally.Because of this my wife needed to escape the rat race for a short while so we ended up here. A short break away from the city is the perfect cerebral palette cleanser. A chance to recalibrate. Always a little further.

NOW PLAYING AS I WRITE. Yes Ally McBeale made her famous but this is my favourite Vonda Shepherd album. Had the pleasure of seeing her at the Bristol Beacon in 1999 (Colston Hall back then). She's a wondeful blend of pop, rock, and smooth ballads with a powerful yet soothing voice. #writingcommunity

Clock is ticking. I've procrastinated enough and for too long. It takes the loss of someone to kickstart the changes one needs in life. So far I've lost over a stone training in running & karate. Made a lot of inroads. With that in place now I need to get on with the book. #supportindieauthors

Watching Ride or Die, with the Mrs, starring Hannah Waddinhham & Octavia Spencer. Thoroughly enjoying this with the two leads turning in performances with comic timing, exciting action & great chemistry. Also great to an action series being lead by female directors, producers, and writers.

NOW WATCHING! Possibly my favourite film from Peter Hyams Collection - a great conspiracy thriller will sure to embolden the theorists today. Apart from one dodgy name, the cast is simply stellar, and Hyams' slick script & direction (with some humour) make this superb watch from start to finish.
