Auch in Österreich haben die Aussagen Van der Bellens teils zu Irritationen, teils zu heftigen Diskussionen geführt. Kanzler Stocker sah sich zu einer Klarstellung veranlasst: Österreich habe durch seine Geschichte eine besondere Verantwortung gegenüber dem Staat Israel, betonte seine außenpolitische Sprecherin. "Das Existenzrecht Israels steht außer Frage. Genauso außer Frage steht für uns auch die Verbindlichkeit des Völkerrechts." Die Feststellung einer Rechtsverletzung sei Aufgabe der Gerichte, erklärte die Sprecherin. Das ist eine deutliche Distanz zu Van der Bellen. Während der Bundespräsident ausdrücklich von "Kriegsverbrechen" spricht, verweist das Kanzleramt zwar ebenfalls auf die Bindung Österreichs an das Völkerrecht, besteht aber darauf, dass die rechtliche Feststellung einer Völkerrechtsverletzung Sache der Gerichte ist.

Also entweder hab ich da wen beim Standard inspiriert oder ein live KI-Faktencheck von Kickl ist wirklich sehr naheliegend.

Was bleibt vom Sommergespräch? Seine Botschaft nach der Forderung eines "Remigrationsgesetzes" hat Kickl jedenfalls erfolgreich platziert. Was auch immer genau damit gemeint ist?! Um den FPÖ-Chef in einem Format wie dem ORF-Sommergespräch adäquat zu interviewen, bräuchte es wohl eine Art Live-Faktencheck und -Einordnung, um ihn gleich zu decouvrieren. Der "ausgerechnet die FPÖ will kriminelle Ausländer nach Österreich holen"-Spin ist schwach. Man muss sich nicht auf ihr Niveau begeben, sie stellt eine berechtigte Forderung. Österreich hat ein komplexes und aufwendiges Verfahren gegen den Mann geführt. Also sollte er auch hier bestraft werden.
