Shoutout alright!! I love your Tawnys and am full of envy! We used to have a family many years ago but their eucalypt got cut down - the story of our colonisation writ small.

Thanks Chris, have just purchased one. The ACT where I am voted ‘Yes’ but that’s not much consolation. What an awful result!

A pair of Double-barred finches for today’s theme #Borbs

A concrete pedestal bird bath surrounded by Correa shrubbery and eucalypt mulch. There are a pair of tiny birds on the edge of the bath which have soft brown backs, black and white spotted wing feathers and distinctive white faces and bibs highlighted by narrow black lines and on breast and face. Their beaks are silver-grey and their eyes are black.

My son is camping on the coast in Croatia. They’ve had some interesting weather! #birds #wildlife

Clear azure seawater with coastal green plants in the foreground and massive banks of storm clouds above.

Beautiful azure sea topped by massive banks of incoming storm clouds.

Banks of dark storm clouds incoming over blue/green sea.

It’s hard to get the undies clean! Our resident Crimson Rosellas #birds #wildlife

A pedestal concrete birdbath with two bright red and blue parrots partially submerged in rippled water. The background is a carpet of eucalyptus leaves and green leaved correas.

Everything he does appalls me. I saw an Amnesty International van in Canberra today that said “Stop Arming Israel”. Need more be said?

They have at least one chick in their nest down in the Reserve. You can hear it carrying on like a pork chop!

And they had such a landslide win!! Lack of courage which is all to our detriment, and to the environment’s.

They are really one of my absolute favourites, a bit shier than the Crimsons.
