"alternate timeline self swap" the oldest trick inthe book this one is genuinely so fucking dumb 😭 #ceruleandays

006 ~ Could You Tell
Jing: "Hey, did you grow over break? You're taller than me now..."
Xiao Yamaguchi: (What's taking Trigger so long?! I told him this was a bad idea!)
Xiao Yamaguchi: "Eh- I guess? Hahaha.."

The 1koma depicts Xiao Yamaguchi in Xiao Scott's clothes (sans backpack and visor) posing with a hand on his hip and the other held up in a kind of finger gun pose. To the side is Jing Campbell's sketchbook slightly in-view, and you can see his current sketch of Xiao Scott on it (he had been sketching Xiao Scott before Xiao Yamaguchi took Scott's place)

Oh it is so late this does not bode well- Basically the complete opposite mood from yesterday's post LMAO. I figured since I'm going monochrome I should try a manga-adjacent vibe! Also, Quinn what are you teaching GV-?! Day 2: Genderbend #gunvolt #azurestrikergunvolt #CountdownToGX

Genderbent GV and Copen are going on a date, with GV holding Copen's arm. Text, left to right, reads: "What are you doing, Adept?" "We're on a date, right? Quinn said this is what couples do."

Xiao Yamaguchi (October 2026)

I didn't have a REAL direction with his design to be honest LOL. I kinda wanted something cool and whatever. I took inspiration from young Anmicius's design (Aotu World) for the shirt and ponytail, and kinda kept the crop shirt and exposed legs idea from June's base deisgn. I also mostly retained the same colors on Xiao Scott's design, only really switching the white to the one in June's color scheme because Xiao Scott's white was too blue-tinted. I scrapped the green since it didn't look too coherent to be honest.

I think this design's pretty neutral-looking, mainly because of the white on the shirt thingy. The colors were a bit hard to get. I think I might have to workshop the colors in the future haha. But I think its fine for now.

+The idea for Xiao Yamaguchi is that he'd also be pretty different from Xiao Scott as a person as well rather than skill. I made him taller, and he's actually in better shape than Scott physically or whatever. He doesn't like people outside the ones he knows, but he hides his mild disdain for strangers better than Scott does. Yamaguchi is way more dillegent than Scott. I thiiiink you get the idea. He's kinda opposite to Scott.

Shayy’s victims are also queer you fucking dipshit Yeah no shayy loses the “they’re only being attacked because they’re queer” when the people accusing them are ALSO queer for example Cibles is transfem… meaning she’s trans like Shayy (nonbinary is part of the trans umbrella)

Xiao Yamaguchi concept sketch bleeeeeeegh Xiao Yamaguchi is from an alternate timeline where essentially Xiao and June in the mainline timeline had their roles swapped. So then in this one Xiao ended up the mechanic while June is the hacker dude. This Xiao also made Trigger’s gun #xiaotablet

sketchbook photo of concepts for xiao yamaguchi

On the left is a mini outfit sketch, and then on the right is a halfbody shot of Xiao Yamaguchi looking a bit awkward as he holds a hand by his face or some bs

I took inspiration from both June’s outfit and young Anmicius (Aotu World)’s outfit for this version of Xiao. I kept the goggles and the gloves (but they’re a different kind) and kinda kept the crop shirt and exposed legs thing. He also has June’s utility belt I guess

still thinking of Daniel from when he was an aotu tournament contestant himself and it makes me so mad because he actually used to be so outgoing and full of personality and then he got angelically lobotomized 🤞😭 gif unrelated but that IS him from three years ago
