All I wanna say in the horrible Cornell rapes; As a new college kid in 2000, one thing I know we were informed of is consent can't be given if someone is impaired by drugs and alcohol I am absolutely bewildered by the effort to say this woman was able to consent given the facts of her circumstances

A review of Absolute Wonder Woman #8 I did last night. Got fixated on the beautiful layouts of Sherman and wondering on the curviness of the Hieron ( Wonder Woman hideout)

One crazy thing about this new outpouring of racism against South Asians and calls for expulsion or forced assimilation is it was kicked off by some brown skinned students at a Texas game wearing cowboy hats and excitedly celebrating their football team — ie some guys very assimilated to America.

But there really is no use in arguing it when you realize that people don't want justice. They want vengeance. Blood lust. People HATE when families plead for science backed interventions. For leniency. For second chances. Or when they go against the death penalty.

God help you if you're a victim of a crime and don't want to pursue carceral solutions. We've even seen prosecutors threaten to prosecute victims for unrelated matters if they don't pursue charges for things. Victims of crime do not matter to this system or to society.

Ok, big-brain thinking here. Take the stereotype of a widow. A woman whose husband dies, she probably has all his inheritance, and they're childless. Ever wonder if that's the stereotype because otherwise we'd probably be dealing with a woman who probably died in child birth?

Speaking in support of this statement, I think a lot of VBNMW cis voters forget that trans people have operated in dark markets for lifetimes. Threatening that a Dem is less bad than a Republican doesnt carry the same cachet to a trans person who's had to DIY their transition.

It was never about girls' sports It's Orwellian to talk of "reclaiming the Hippocratic oath" when it's a tortured euphemism for taking away bodily autonomy They're too preoccupied trying to tell the world how it's supposed to act, rather than how to treat individual people deserving of love

Giancarlo Dittamo posted this tribute to PAC on X:

Two weeks ago, we set up a little room to film interviews for Andy's memorial. Nothing fancy. Just a camera, a chair and a place where everyone could speak from the heart. No characters. Just people talking about someone they loved.
I sat across from Ben as he prepared to speak about Andy.
He came in. He knew exactly what he wanted to say. He sat down, delivered it with an emotion I had never seen from him and then immediately apologized and asked if he could do it one more time.
And there we were sitting across from each other, both crying. He kept apologizing. I kept telling him,'
"It's ok. This is all fresh. There's
absolutely nothing to apologize for right now.'
But he just wanted to get it right. He wanted it to be perfect. Not because he cared about how he looked on camera but because he cared so much about the person he was talking about.
I think that's what I'Il remember most about that moment. Here was a man who spent so much of his career protecting this Bastard character of his, sitting in front of a camera trying to find the strength to just be Ben and even when his heart was breaking, he was worried about getting it right. That's who he was.
I keep going back to that room two weeks ago. Two people sitting across from each other, crying over someone we'd lost.
Never in a million years did I imagine I'd be sitting here just two weeks later, trying to find the words to talk about losing him too.
And here I am, sitting here trying to write something perfect about someone who always wanted everything to be perfect. But I don't think I can.
I wish I could tell you one more time that you have absolutely nothing to apologize for and you were truly perfect. The perfect wrestler, friend and co-worker.
Carlo.

DoorDash spent $1.4M trying to stop Zohran Mamdani from becoming mayor. This week's historic $131.5M enforcement action against DoorDash for underpaying NYC delivery workers shows why. Yet another reminder that the only thing that can beat organized money is organized people.

In a wage-theft settlement, DoorDash now has to pay its workers around 100 times what it spent trying to beat Zohran Mam
