Once I did a presentation for some freshmen about censorship and cultural heritage destruction during Banned Books Week. A guy who was vibing through class announced, "This is fire" when he saw this quote from "Call from the Dead" on a slide, and had me pause so he could take a photo

I don’t know if anyone watched Rust Isles, but that was some quality entertainment. Bunch of goofballs stumbling around a Rust server playing pirates. Great RP, some sweaty game moments, lots of silly jank fun. Definitely the kind of thing I would love to do a character in.

I feel like more and more, AI exists to exhaust people who are actually knowledgeable or put in work. Experience and institutional knowledge are only valuable if people listen to and respect them. It’s like this technology is designed specifically to hollow that out.
