Pretty similar, I picked something phonetically similar with the same initial, that would have been a plausible name in the late 70s. Kept my middle name because it’s already my daughter’s name.

I’ve always told people who asked why I went to Antarctica that if I have to explain why, then I can’t, because there’s something fundamentally different about our experience in being human. That said Antarctica is fantastic 10/10 highly recommend.

Hard agree, as a late era X-er, not quite a millennial, I watched the pillars of pretended wealth crumble around me. I don’t think we think enough about how I and the millennials a few years younger than myself grew up with television ads urging us to sell streams of income for cash now.

My knee jerk reaction is that cis people obviously absolutely shouldn’t write trans characters. Opportunities for grown people to take their gender out of the box and play with it are so rare that upon reflection, if a cis person feels like they should, and it’s done respectfully, they should.
