8 and 9 May mark the defeat of fascism and Nazism in Europe. We remember those persecuted under fascist and Nazi regimes, including LGBTQI+ people arrested, imprisoned, tortured and murdered simply for who they were. It reminds us why equality, democracy and human rights must always be defended.
