und ganz Baden-Württemberg leidet darunter weil keine anderen wichtigen Projekte mehr finanzierbar sind und keine Planungskapazität mehr frei ist. S21/31 findet statt während ringsum die Infratsruktur weiter bröckelt und die Verspätungsstunden sich summieren ... sollen die "Kunden" halt Auto fahren.

"under the rolling wheel" has basically gone. Rail operators relying on people having cars for back-up anyways is a declaration of bankruptcy. Ofc safety has gone up and working next to a live railroad is basically impossible. But then: close down Motorways for the same reason and duration and see..

we have line closures with 24hrs head notice. WE had catenary work planned with the damnd to close down the entire line for 7 months and it took strang pressure from local concils to boil InfraGO to come domw to 2 weeks ... Reasons are simple, sadly. The knowledge on how to plan and build

The fun part is ... when they were all state railways, safe from competition from each other, cooperation worked flawless, services for customers was provided. I could literally walk to my rural railway station in southwest Germany and buy a ticket to Faro, Edinburgh, Moscow, Athens. Would take time
