Nature Nanotechnology, Published online: 15 April 2025; doi:10.1038/s41565-025-01878-4A nanoporous photocatalyst producing low levels of hydrogen peroxide is shown to modulate intracellular stress granules, enhancing resilience against oxidative stress and providing cardioprotection in an ex vivo rodent model of myocardial ischaemia–reperfusion injury.
