Tonight Yom Kippur begins, the most sombre moment of the Jewish calendar. It’s a time of atonement - a time to grieve those who have been lost, a time to acknowledge and take responsibility for harms we have caused, individually and collectively.

I’m sorry, they’re putting ads in fortune cookies now? Capitalism is starting to feel a little too heavy-handed in its imagery

The best time to be on the internet is the week every spring when American Woodcocks travel through Bryant Park in Manhattan and the whole city of New York shows up to share photos of the little birds walking around and looking for worms :)

Doing some declutterring before I move and I’ve discovered the equivalent of an entire Costco pack of paper towels in my closet. I never need to buy paper towels again for as long as I live On a related note, I think this is where I have to admit I’ve bypassed my 20s and gone straight to middle age

I think I’m realizing that the worst part of a rental application is landlord references. I get why they’re a thing but it’s the relationship I have the least power in and it’s terrifying to be so at the mercy of someone I have a one way transactional relationship with

I’ve learned this week that academic stress fuels me to make progress on my personal life, which also makes me anxious, so I really don’t think I can win here. Balancing out different types of anxiety doesn’t seem all that healthy Excited to announce my 3rd burnout in 12 months this spring!

Public transit geek 🤝 graphic designer
Fantasy map of an expanded public transit system for Toronto, Canada showing subway lines, rapid transit corridors, and regional transit connections as well as local points of interest. The map uses bright saturated colours for the subway lines, darker saturated tones for other routes, and a light palette for points of interest and the map base.
