I don't think the acquisition negotiations would have influenced any part of the production. The effects of a large-scale merger like that don't show themselves until a decent period after the deal is formalized.

Like, the song's boring and unfitting, yeah. But to be honest, you could say the same exact thing for a majority of anime EDs that usually just fly under the radar. If it were any other show, most people wouldn't have even noticed an issue. They'd just skip the ED and move on.

Simpler answer is that it was just a bad call made by someone who doesn't know the appeal of the series or its relationship with music. This is how most anime typically get their themes. The only reason it's a problem this time is 1. JoJo is traditionally an exception 2. the producer's a sex pest

Unlikely. Netflix is the distributor. So while they have their hands in things like the release schedule, the only ones responsible for production are DavidPro themselves and Warner Bros. Japan. Given the song was released under Warner Music Japan, my guess the latter made the call.

I'm way more pissed off by the end theme shit than I ever was by the scheduling. It'd be one thing to break from a beloved tradition to do something new that serves the work. It's another thing to do it in service to the blandest and most tonally inappropriate J-Rap track I've heard in my life.

The menu in Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave for having two characters go see a play together.

Every playable character on the roster has an icon showing they want to go see "Rise of the White-Maned Demon" except the protagonist, including her closest friends. The White-Maned Demon is the guy who killed her father.

This is the only play where this happens.

I don't have much experience with DaVinci, but this looks like a colorspace conversion issue. Try going to thr color management page in your project settings and make sure your timeline color space and your output color space are both the same.

Very very bad is probably a bit of an overstatement, I'd say. A lot of low-brow "Ew, that's so gay" humor around the aughts when that was more common, but also occasionally some active attempts at representing queer themes in a more earnest light, even if somewhat clumsily.
