I only struggled a few times on normal. There is an easier setting though.

On the flip side, the positive reasons I rated it the score I did: -Atmosphere is incredible, THIS IS HELLRAISER -The gameplay scenarios parts Outlast, parts Resident Evil, part P.T. ( a scene with a CABIN I adored) -Mature content that matched it's IP -Variety/pacing combat, puzzles, exploring

If I had to put down my critiques as far as why I rated it how I did: -Crafting supplies are random finds, and many times I was missing 1 type -Some combat scenarious can be super tough when low on ammo -I wish it was just a tad bit longer, I wasn't ready for it to end

Hellraiser Revival finished. What a wild ride! Took me about 11 hrs or so even though game timer says just under 8. I ran into no major bugs, had a fantastic time honestly with some challenging moments. Way better then I could have anticipated. Solid 8.5. One of my favorite games this year.

Also The Last Shift and Autopsy of Jane Doe always stick out.

Def would say all the Conjuring and Insidious movies. Malignant people seem to love or hate but Im in the love camp. If you like indie films, check out The Fear Footage trilogy. Innkeepers was a slow burn but I felt the pay off was excellent. Evil Dead Rise and Burn are pretty wild.

Being only 40 bucks is like a primo cost. I bet it goes to 20 near Xmas or early next year also if I had to guess.

Like I'd LOVE a Nightmare on Elm Street from this dev team. Micro nap trippy stuff, avoiding Freddy, trying to save others from falling asleep and in the dreams. LORD!!!!

Seriously may be one of the best converted use of an IP to videogame format ever made and great horror game as well. More to follow. #HellraiserRevival

On that note, I'm waiting for the articles/internet posts that come out saying "If you like Hellraiser Revival and it's levels of gratiuity, you have problems" cause I feel my spidy-senses are tingling on that one hitting any time within the next few weeks!

Hellraiser being a story driven, single player, 80's/90's horror IP in modern videogame format that isn't an online focused/2-D side scroller is amazing to see. Another reason to add why I love Alien Isolation as well.

To be fair it was due to a certain... ummmm situation, and it was on the big theatre screen and loud! So you'll probably be fine!

One thing I found very cool. Her BF is into racing games but isn't into Star Wars at all... and he was hooked. Like we just had a great time passing the controller back and forth for 3 hours or so. Lots of laughs too at some of the insane physics on the crashes.

The rogue-element really keeps you on your toes, but every tour you fail you get unlocks. It really add a feel of getting better, now only in learning the tracks, but unlocking more features, and stronger vehicles. And a reason to keep trying to do better!

I ended up taking turns playing Star War Galactic Racer on and off all evening yesterday with my fiancés daughters BF. That game is legit one of the best arcade racing games I've played in years. Thrilling, exciting, and high octane!
