I haven't been online much the last few days. I fell down the Lindsay Clancy rabbit hole and just ended up upsetting myself. To say that the situation has been upsetting is an understatement. I just hugged my Autumn and cried. She of course was just "You okay Mommy. I love you Mommy. It okay."

I took this photo of my cat Ralph and his brother Shipley probably in 2015-16, behind the Magic House, which I wrote about in the final section of my book Ring The Hill. Shipley died in 2017. Ralph followed him in 2021, and his ashes were scattered in this exact spot.

Found a wasp nest in the soffit on the front porch on Friday. The pest control company is supposed to be coming this afternoon to take care of it and I hope they do. Was barely able to leave my house this past weekend because wasps are one of my greatest fears (thanks to Billy the Exterminator).

Trying to stay happy when there is a 3900 hectare wildfire raging approx. 41 km away from my home is exhausting. I lived through evacuation before. Hands down, it was the worst 3 weeks of my life, but I lived through it, and BC has the best wildland firefighters in the world. I'll be fine. 🖤🗝️

I have a gargantuan anthill on my property and these little busy bodies picked up this whole ass mushroom, drug it across the front driveway, and were trying to figure out how to get it down the hole in the top of the anthill. Just watching them made me exhausted. 😩

My least favourite thing about summer, aside from being irradiated everytime I go outside, is having short sleeves/straps that ultimately lead to comments and questions about my arm tattoos. The responses I get from people have just convinced me that no one (at least where I live) reads anymore.

Pretty sure that I failed on at least 2 of my dictations. One had a loud ringing in the background, in addition to the doctor sounding like he was underwater. It was a dictation of a trigger finger with A1 pulley release, and I barely understood anything that fool said. Holy tinnitus, Batman. 😰

I am writing my final PIE exam tonight. If I pass this one, I graduate. Two years of hard work, and this is the last hurdle to cross. I'm not going to start looking for a side hustle immediately - I've decided to take a bit of a break, perhaps for the summer, and then get back to the grind.

So far, minimal side effects on the Mounjaro. Little bit of digestive upset, but less than the Ozempic, which is nice. Eating eggs is still a no-no. My biggest craving... oatmeal, Greek yogurt, and fruit. Which has been weird, but I'm working with it.

I'm starting to experience this thing where I feel the sensation of my phone vibrating when it's not. Like, if it's on my desk and I'm typing away, I'll feel the *bzz* through the wood of my desk, like it's ringing, but my phone won't be doing anything. It's weird as fuck and I do not like it.
