Hey Shammai, I found the cutest drawing of you and your buddy Hillel online, and I’ve laminated it and put it up in my Hebrew school classroom. The kids love it.

Freya Update: We’ve now had her for 7 days. She has probably just hit 6 wks old. Last night she weighed in at exactly 16oz. She’s active, funny, very sweet, likes toys, and has developed an enormous appetite. So far she’s getting along well with the preexisting dog and cat!

I teach Jewish history in to 6th graders in a Hebrew school. And this photo could stand in for many scenes from what I teach (or for that matter, movies like “Prince of Egypt” and “The Ten Commandments”). It’s a photo taken today, of Palestinians returning on foot to Gaza. That should bother us.
