It looks like a fairly typical no-compete clause to me, but when combined with the removal of the CC licence, it does start looking a bit sus

The behaviour of these moderators strikes me as being one of two possibilities: - Attempting to suppress a valid subject of inquiry - Power-tripping 🤔 ...they're the same thing, aren't they? Either way, this behaviour is how you slowly but surely kill a community.

If there's a way to donate to Imada-san I think I'll just give them the cost of the comic directly instead of rewarding this BS from IDW

I want to buy this to support Imada-san's work but equally I don't want to give @idwpublishing.com a single cent because they couldn't be arsed to pay a writer to write the description YOU MAKE COMICS! YOU ALREADY HAVE WRITERS! Also, fake reviews are such desperate bullshit it's embarrassing

Hi. I was recently at UKSG Green 2026, where I ran the Sonic 8 (and Knuckles) with some good friends. Among other things, I hit 12-0 first try, in a marathon run, pauseless, with nerves, and audio latency issues, and input latency issues... ...So that was nice!

I get it, firing off an angry social media post feels good in the moment, but I think that energy is better directed at persuading your elected representative to fight against stuff like the OSA. If nothing else, it at least lets them know how unpopular these laws are.

010

RaceProUK 🇬🇧🇪🇺🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️🏁 @racepro.uk · 14/05/2026

The only way to avoid that future is to keep pushing back, not just against Twitch and all the other websites adding age verification, but also against governments that are passing oppressive laws like the Online Safety Act until those laws get repealed.

110

RaceProUK 🇬🇧🇪🇺🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️🏁 @racepro.uk · 14/05/2026

Age verification won't come in because of accounts being eligible for pay (where you'd have to prove your identity anyway for tax reasons). Where it'll come in is for streams for games rated ESRB-M or PEGI 18 or similar, so it'll come regardless of monetisation options. And yes, it sucks big time.
