While waiting for Rick Wakeman to return to Mars, I am revisiting the album "1984" in which he set Orwell’s famous book to music, with Tim Rice contributing the lyrics. The vocal performance from Chaka Khan, Jon Anderson, and Steve Harley is a sheer delight. #ClassicRock #RockNRoll #ClassicVinyl

A genuine rocker has left us. Angry Anderson breathed rock 'n' roll through and through. He may have taken his energy and dedication to another dimension, but the records remain. Tonight, I’m spinning Rose Tattoo’s debut in Angry’s honor. "Astra Wally"! #ClassicRock #RockNRoll #RoseTattoo

More guitar-driven noise from a fun Tuesday night in Gothenburg. The Ruts warmed up the crowd for The Undertones. Or rather, Ruts DC, to be precise. They closed with brilliance: "In a Rut," "Babylon's Burning," and "Staring At The Rude Boys." #punk #punkrock #punklegends #punkrockhistory

Paul McLoone is no Feargal Sharkey, but he really impressed me this Tuesday night when The Undertones played at Pustervik in Gothenburg. The Northern Irish band’s hallmarks live on. That is largely thanks to Paul. #punk #punks #punkrock #punklegends #history #punkrockhistory

My vinyl collection clearly shows that British glam rock dominated my turntable just after I turned ten and in the years that followed. What's more, most of it still holds up today. I need only to say "Teenage Rampage"! #ClassicRock #RockNRoll #Classicvinyl #MusicSky

The evening is dark but a Rainbow turns up. Epic from start to finish, "Long Live Rock'n'Roll". Feel fantastic every time I hear this. But no thanks to Baal. #ClassicRock #RockNRoll #MusicSky

Cheap Trick guitarist Rick Nielsen has said that this self-titled album from 1997 was the start of the second half of the band's career. What he was probably referring to was that they had reached the halfway point in time, with an approaching silver jubilee just two years away...(continue)

And what do you find in a CD collection here at home in Sweden? I thought I would come back to that from time to time. First up is Bon Jovi. It feels fitting because the band is currently here in Europe and has triple concerts at Wembley in London in the next few days.

The best concert experience of the summer? Sammy Hagar in London of course. Beats everything else by miles!

Tuk Smith & The Restless Hearts played yesterday in a small wine and beer restaurant in Örebro in Sweden. A brilliant gig filled with warmth, happiness and energy. We were no more than 30 fans crammed into a minimal space, but oh my, what fun we had. Thanks guys. Rock'n'roll at its best!

It's 51 years ago I heard "Amateur Hour" for the first time. It knocked me out! Since then I have always wanted to see Sparks live. It took a while but last night, in Copenhagen, it finally happen. It was worth waiting for. Ron och Russell is ageing well. Still in their prime!

Michael Schenker plays music from his years with UFO. The gig in Fabrik in Hamburg is the second night out on this tour. It's a great show from a MSG-version with the swede Erik Grönwall on vocal. Rock Bottom!

I've admired his skills behind the keyboards since "Going For The One" became a personal favorite. Now I get a chance to see and listen to him again. Here at home in Sweden too. Rick Wakeman is coming to Malmö and Gothenburg. My ticket is already secured.

Accept drives on with speed and power in famous style. With Wolf Hoffmann as the maestro and the only original member. It's Accept for sure but it's more Wolf Hoffmann nowadays!
