My take: the Warriors are only feigning interest in AD to get LeBron. @johnhollinger.bsky.social - do front offices ever do that?

This line was so good I had to screen-grab it:

“You had to be here in the dead of winter, when the warmth of one of his Euro steps to the rim lingered through your entire drive home like a cup of hot cocoa.” - Jon Krawczynski on the departure of Naz Reid from the Minnesota Timberwolves.

There are people who will tell you that facts have alternates that are just as true. Don’t listen to these people. Numbers never lie.

Just said to someone “Jaden McDaniels is my top draft pick for sociopaths in the NBA.” His dead-ass eyes remind me of Emperor Palpatine.

There was a slowmo clip of Luka yelling at someone as the bench got up to celebrate. LeBron cracked a tiny Luka-being-Luka smile.

LeBron has transformed his game into the ultimate off-ball weapon, also thrilling to watch.

It’s thrilling to watch, if a little unhinged.

If the past couple games have taught us anything about Luka it’s that there’s a lot more Ron Artest to his game than we thought. He’s yelling at someone after almost every made bucket. #nba

Amending my take. Did you *see* SGA last night? Two dagger threes in the final minute against his biggest rival’s team, career-high in assists, no turnovers. The “MVP” chants weren’t “let’s support our guy so the broadcast picks it up and we churn the conversation,” they were, “this is the MVP.”

This is absolutely real. The current HBO Max version of this "Mad Men" episode "remastered for 4K" did not include an updated visual effects shot, which originally painted out the crew and equipment. Not just that, the HBO Max episode titles/order is jumbled for s01.

I loved the KD/Russ/Harden/Ibaka Thunder. With Collison and Sefolosha. A brash young group of guys who weren’t afraid to rise to the occasion.

Delicate Arch is a trippy horror film shot outside of Moab Utah - great scenery and a camping trip that goes awry. Def worth a watch.

Great column. Atlanta and DC are sleeping giants if they can ever get capable management. The loyalty players show towards Houston, the city, they’d almost certainly show towards those two if the basketball could just be 15% better.

Monk would be a huge upgrade over Kuz, who has not been productive. The Bucks need athleticism on the wing, which neither player really offers, so I’d rather have the shooting.

I do think Beal will have a surge in production due to playing with a great setup man in Harden. Also, he won’t be sharing the court with another guy who plays his same position. Not saying he goes back up to 30ppg but I think points will come a lot easier in an offense that’s more balanced.

one of the stupid things that makes me feel alive is taking long exposure shots of night rocket launches taking off from Canaveral.

a night time beach scene. there is a bright streak of light curving up and away, the light from a Falcon rocket launch

You’re the Detroit Pistons. What do you do with Malik Beasley? It was weird watching the kabuki theater of everyone on the Heat pretending nothing was strange about the Terry Rozier situation. But Detroit is finding out about the investigation while Beasley’s a free agent. Your move. #nba #nbasky

Fun to hear a new (to me!) NBA writer’s voice. The Bulls not getting a first for Caruso remains an unpardonable sin. Same for the Lakers letting him walk when he would’ve taken half what the Bulls offered. Learned a lot more about Okoro here, too:
