I called the Canadian Pharmacy I get my prescription from yesterday and they told me that its unclear yet how and if they will be affected by the legislation taking affect on Oct 22. They also haven't figured out what to do yet if they are affected.

My hope is that by providing more resources like this we are able to have more eyes on Signal and can even use some of these resources as pedagogic tools :) If you have any thoughts or feedback, please send it over to signal@galois.com !

The goal is to help the cryptography and security community understand better how Signal implements its protocol. For e.g. have you ever wondered what the life time of message keys was? Or where in the code a chain key is turned into a message key? These are what these annotations are for !

For the past couple of months, I have been working at @galoisinc.bsky.social on annotating the @signal.org docs on PQXDH and SPQR to bridge the gap between the docs and the libsignal codebase (i.e. the actual Rust implementation of the Signal protocol). galois-1.gitbook.io/annotated-si...

TIL: If you ever want to mess around with the Signal code (libsignal) and don't need to measure/modify anything related to the network/server, you don't need to have an account or phone number to do that! You can "mock" a user and their storage: github.com/signalapp/li...

Also really glad and not too surprised ! I was just looking at libsignal and it seems to no longer be backward compatible with X3DH: github.com/signalapp/li...

I was under the impression that PQXDH was a post-quantum handshake ? Maybe I'm misunderstanding something ?

@jeffrichards.io Hi Jeff, it's nice to meet you as well! This pack is dedicated to researchers, academics and journalists in security/privacy (with a focus on the later) who post about their research and their work. Do you think that your account fits that bill?

Hi, so I've spent the past almost-decade studying research uses of public social media data, like e.g. ML researchers using content from Twitter, Reddit, and Mastodon. Anyway, buckle up this is about to be a VERY long thread with lots of thoughts and links to papers. 🧵

Here is a Cryptography starter pack. I've included academics, researchers and journalists. Let me know if you should be included in this. I will not be adding accounts selling products, the focus here is on research and investigative journalism into privacy. Cheers. go.bsky.app/st9dXx
