quozl @quozl.bsky.social · 25/07/2025If I could only give one piece of advice to those wanting to run an RPG, it would be: "Just think of an interesting situation and how to respond when the players act and don't worry about anything else." What one piece of advice would you give? 150
quozl @quozl.bsky.social · 02/05/2025That reminds me that I tried curry pizza last weekend for the novelty of it and it was the best pizza I've ever had. 0101

quozl @quozl.bsky.social · 16/04/2025I've gotten to the point in Pratchett's Guards! Guards! where the dragon has taken over the city and it's a little unsettling as it mirrors current events... 0101
quozl @quozl.bsky.social · 14/04/2025I recently discovered Aphantasia, the inability to picture things in your mind. For example, in this picture, when trying to picture a cardinal in my mind, I get #2, maybe even less than that, like an outline of #2. As people who play RPGs, where on the scale are the pictures in your mind? 650
quozl @quozl.bsky.social · 27/03/2025When everything in my life is falling apart, I feel guilty for enjoying some time playing games. But I do enjoy playing them. I really do. 170

quozl @quozl.bsky.social · 26/03/2025The Arm Brace of Extension lets your arm grow and shrink in length according to your movement rate so if you move 30' per round, you can extend or shrink your arm length 30' per round. Each round extending your arm uses up 1 point of Strength, which heals at a rate of 1 point per round of rest. 020
quozl @quozl.bsky.social · 03/03/2025If you haven't played, it's a full RPG that is just everything that was cool in the 70s and 80s all mixed together. It's a free download and has free adventures too. It's so fun! geekrampage.itch.iogeekrampage.itch.ioChristian Conkle 070
quozl @quozl.bsky.social · 13/02/2025This looks like a really nice and simple RPG system, totally free to download. It's not OSR (which is my system of choice) but I like it a lot. Check it out! 050
quozl @quozl.bsky.social · 02/02/2025I'm reading Starworld, written by Harry Harrison and published in 1981. This line jumped out at me: "Any country that permits its citizens to die for want of medical attention simply because they cannot afford it, becomes a nation in moral trouble." 0120
quozl @quozl.bsky.social · 03/01/2025Remember Bilbo fighting the talking spiders in The Hobbit? That scene was much more fun because they talked! 0191
quozl @quozl.bsky.social · 03/01/2025These are my current thoughts. Suggestions are welcome! The Monster Randomizer categories: Humanoid monsters Bestial monsters Undead monsters Weird monsters Constructs Random tables for each category: What do the locals call it? Appearance? Size? Powers? Weaknesses? Stats? Motivation? Habitat? 070
quozl @quozl.bsky.social · 02/01/2025I want to create a randomized monster manual. Like, what the local people call an ogre could be any large human-shaped monster. Maybe it's what D&D called an ogre, a troll, a giant, or who knows. So I want a book that shows large humanoids with a bunch of tables to roll on: name, size, powers, etc. 3291

quozl @quozl.bsky.social · 22/11/2024Quote-posting this for my RPG followers. For me, a map usually indicates that a novel is overwritten. So I like no-map fantasy novels best. What do you think? 570
