so happy to be alive to have witnessed @realgdt.bsky.social make a movie adaptation one of his favorite stories which is also my favorite. Easily my favorite adaptation too, though i had no doubts his love for the source would bleed through. No contest, hes my fave director. Pls watch Frankenstein!

i struggle with a brain that wants to stiffly copy whatever reference i'm using and one thing i've found helpful:
1. draw big blocky shapes over the reference
2. turn off ref and redraw big blocky shapes
3. draw in figure with big blocky shapes overlaid
