@mrmmarsh.bsky.social American here. I'm pretty sure there is no difference in the way we use the word "tap." In particular, it's a common synonym of faucet or spigot, "on tap" is idiomatic, as is "tap water" or "water from the tap".

We can eliminate D because leading is allowed on cross. I'm with you on no one cares about confirming an address, so not C. I'm leaning towards A because it's focusing the witness on getting hit in a particular place. An obviously less suggestive question would be "Where did the defendant hit you?"

TIL "MAGA" is an old Japanese word for "evil calamity."

Sean Connery's final film role was as Allan Quatermain in LXG. Meanwhile, his Hunt for Red October co-star James Earl Jones appeared in Allan Quatermain and the Lost City of Gold. Was the latter any good? I know the former wasn't.

Why do so many references to Schrödinger's Cat mischaracterize the thought experiment? I just saw yet another that described it as "a cat in a box may be alive or dead but you won't know until it's opened," which reduces the unintuitive nature of a Bell's state to an obvious triviality.

You would think if you send a package at the end of November, it would make it to Canada by Christmas, but you have to keep in mind the postal service has to shuffle it back and forth between distribution centers for a month before it can leave the country.

USPS tracking data showing a package being sent back and forth between Atlanta, Miami, and other cities multiple times with no progress.

I feel like videogames actually do provide a pretty accurate representation of real life right now because a lot of videogames are like “THE WORLD IS ENDING” and then you just collect herbs and pretend nothing is wrong
