Are you guys ready for interruptions to supply chains? No? You should probably fix that, don’t go crazy and hoard but it doesn’t hurt to have a couple extra weeks of the things you use most. Truckers have had enough, this is not sustainable. When truckers stop making money, the trucks stop moving.

Angel hair with a sauce made by sautéing a bit of onion, adding split grape and cherry tomatoes. Once wilted I added minced garlic, a scoop of pasta water and finished the sauce with grated parmigiano. Finished the dish with crushed red pepper flakes, stracciatella and grated pecorino romano.

Experimental dessert attempt. Lemon and blueberry tiramisu. Ladyfingers dipped in limoncello, lemon juice and water. Mascarpone layer has blueberry in it, zabaglione layer has cream sherry, an unsweetened whipped cream layer, all x3 and topped homemade blueberry lemon jelly and lemon zest.

Went and saw Evil Dead Burn with @skuzzbutt.bsky.social tonight. It was good and I enjoyed it but honestly E.D. Rise was much better. I felt like the pacing was a bit slow and they leaned really heavily on foreshadowing which made it all really predictable. Maybe I’m just a horror snob?

Homemade cake batter ice cream!! I made my own neutral ice cream base (milk, half and half, heavy cream, powdered milk, sugar, salt, xantham gum and vodka) and added 2 boxes of yellow cake mix to it! It’s absolutely delicious, as good or better than the stuff I had at cold stone growing up!
