The only thing Kagetsu from Shamanic Princess did wrong was date Tiara #weebwednesday

Screenshot from the Shamanic Princess OVA that shows Kagetsu reaching into frame gently placing his left hand on the left side of Sara's head while she lays covered in bed. She leans into it with closed eyes and her left hand resting on his wrist.

6/4 "But what's with the meat?," you ask. well... ✨MGS 1 & 2 spoilers ✨ remember that one unlockable in Metal Gear Solid (PSX)? the bandana that gives Snake infinite ammo, but can only be gained by beating the game without giving into Ocelot's torture (and thus ensuring your companion's survival)?

Solid Snake (from the video game Metal Gear Solid: Sons of Liberty) looks to the viewer's right with his body mostly facing them and his right thumb raised to horizontally point at a bandana wrapped around his forehead. The subtitles read: Infinite ammo.

Sara, the Disabled Queen in her Heaven www.pillowfort.social/posts/5608981 artist: VINDERS (extra info, full image description, links, and non-compressed version in the link) #ShamanicPrincess #Sara #Disabled #art #commission

Digital painting of Sara (from the Shamanic Princess OVA) smiling gently and angled towards the viewer's left. She's sitting in her long-sleeve nightgown with strangely shaped brown trees and a dark blue space behind her, what appears to be a light blue lake to her lower right, something purple below and to her lower left, and two long bending bandages that wrap around her forearms and lower legs respectively.

The upper half of the painting area has a dark border creating a dome around her. The lower half is border-less save for the outline of everything that breaches past the blue and purple parts (e.g.: her ankle-length hair, small orbs, nightgown, foot, and lower bandage). The canvas itself is white.

>The “gift” bestowed upon Italians and the Irish isn’t happening for us. So, you can discriminate against Black people and Afro-Latinos all you want. It won’t make you white. It just makes you a racist [POC]. A Brown Clayton Bigsby. A fool. —Xochitl Gonzalez, Enough With Latino Anti-Blackness (2022)

Here’s a news flash to non-Black Latinos—from a person who, you can scroll up and confirm, looks pretty caucasian: Your “whiteness” will always be relative. You can utter as much garbage as you want about Black people; you can vote Republican; you can lead the Proud Boys. You will never “achieve” whiteness. The “gift” bestowed upon Italians and the Irish isn’t happening for us. So, you can discriminate against Black people and Afro-Latinos all you want. It won’t make you white. It just makes you a racist person of color. A Brown Clayton Bigsby. A fool.

4 #horror #movies to know me, #2020s edition ain't seen much lately, but these still work for the most part: #TheTurning (2020), #NOPE (2022), #TheInvitation (2022), #TheBlackening (2022)

Movie poster for The Turning (2020) that shows a girl (Flora Fairchild) staring directly and unkindly at the viewer while someone with greyed skin and pointed fingernails stands behind her with only their hands visible. The back of the right hand affectionately caresses her left temple. The front of the left hand seems to either guard the right side of her forehead or is about to grab her. Below Flora's neck is just darkness with the movie title near the bottom.

Movie poster for NOPE (2022) that shows a horse floating in the upper center with a very starry night sky behind and mostly above it, the bottom third of a circular cloud directly above it, random small objects floating below it, and regular clouds below it. The movie title is near the bottom.

Movie poster for The Invitation (2022) that shows a brown-skinned woman (Evie Alexander) wearing an embroidered white dress bearing bloodstains on the upper part that covers her breasts. She wears a rhombus-shaped necklace and carries in front of her a silver platter with a small red-stamped envelop sitting up on a red rose. The stamp bears the capital letter "R" and is oozing down onto the platter, which has a small misshapen pool of red appearing to come from behind the envelop. Near the bottom is the movie title with her dress behind it.

Movie poster for The Blackening (2022) that shows a large red clenched fist à la Black Power with an entirely white background. At the wrist are multiple long strains of red that make up the arm, which fades to white just above the movie title.

i present to you the second dark-skinned character in #SoloLeveling (ch109) lines: a whole-ass conversation name: Mrs. Norma Selner reference: respectfully introduced, spoken to, and spoken of no offensiveness in depiction likelihood of bein' seen again: 90% 1st pass 🥳

Mrs. Norma Selner stands well-dressed from head to toe in a well-fitted buttoned down blazer, very wide-brimmed bowtied hat, khaki-colored knee-length pencil skirt, white longsleeve shirt, and a blue ribbon-like bowtie. Her matching blazer and hat are noticeably darker than her skirt. Her hair is wonderfully kinky and stops a few inches below her shoulders.

i present to you the second character to have (stereotypically) thick-ass dark lips in #SoloLeveling (ch76) and he ain't even dark-skinned 🤷🏿‍♂️ no written lines possibly implied lines no name no reference to dark flappy-ass lips partted comically likelihood of bein' seen again: 2% seriously, why 😑

Three males who appear to be journalists ready to ask questions, take notes, and record for later stand listening to the someone who's walking past them and barely visible in the screenshot. The male in the center has oddly dark and flappy thick lips that are partted as if comical or accidentally drawn that way. Within his mouth is only pure white with no indication of whether or not it's just his teeth. His eyebrows are black and very thick, especially compared to everyone else.

i present to you the second dark-skinned character in #SoloLeveling (ch56) no lines no name no reference to dark-lips that i'm still not sure how i feel about tbh 🤔 likelihood of bein' seen again: 10% let's make this shit a game

Screenshot from Solo Leveling chapter 56 showing an armored (comparatively) dark-skinned bald-headed person laying in shallow water. Their eyes are closed and mouth is parted, revealing clenched teeth. Their lips are notably darker than their face.
