Ime, having had 5 root canals, it's usually a bruised jaw from pressing down on the healing tooth. Ibuprofen will help with that. If it's nerve pain, it won't

Yeah, that level of pain after a root canal is either a) the jaw itself is healing from having the nerve removed, b) it's infected, or c) it's not that tooth that's actually in pain. Sometimes your mouth just doesn't have accurate coordinates, lol

I got resurrected from certain death by a vampire- but it's cool it wasn't that kind of resurrection. Played a game of 52 card pickup while being attacked by pirates. Attended a lecture about lecturing on magic. Made my own cocktail called Margot's Mix that is simply "a little bit of everything".

Reminder: The people who make your video games are humans. When attending Blizzcon as a dev they have a billion things demanding their attention. Not getting the exact reaction you wanted in this setting isn't an indication of how that might've gone in a quiet room with their full attention. Ffs.

Yeah I had complicated feelings about WoW Forever. It was my forever once upon a time. A big part of me mourns that certainty but a much bigger part of me is glad I've found so much more beyond one video game.

On the one hand- WoW used to be my life. Wake up. Go work on WoW. Go home. Play WoW. All my social groups online and in person were associated with WoW or work (again, on WoW). I did not have a healthy relationship with my career. I know that now. I did eventually find balance!

I don't know why I didn't expect complicated feelings around missing Blizzcon. I guess that's what it means to be carrying trauma around. Still glad that my friends and colleagues are getting what they wanted out of it- that's important! But man am I in a weird headspace today.

This will be the first Blizzcon I've missed since I started attending in 2010. I've disconnected from the Blizzard ecosystem in a way I would've found unimaginable even 3 years ago. Surprisingly little FOMO. Just hoping my friends are in for a great weekend. :)

You realize most people only look at the average review score before deciding to buy, right? Even leaving a 3/5 review can take them out of mostly positive, which is the minimum before their sales tank. They don't need to cater to everyone. Game design is subjective. Variety is good.

Didn't like an indie game I picked up. It was 8 dollars. I am not going to refund it and I'm not going to leave a negative review. They worked hard to make the thing and I bought it and don't regret giving it a shot. Maybe the next thing they make will be more to my tastes. :)

I have found better outcomes talking to women doctors for reproductive healthcare, but even then I didn't get diagnosed with endometriosis until they literally saw it while getting my sterilization surgery. I hope you can get your pain addressed- harass them till they listen. That is not normal.

It's much cooler today. I put away my dishes and loaded my dishwasher. My sink is empty. I made an amazing sandwich for lunch and cleaned up after myself so my kitchen is still clean. I'm mildly annoyed that this is such a mood boost lol
