What is going on this morning - in the last hour, I’ve gotten about FIFTEEN Dem fundraising texts. Half of them addressed to a relative. I usually get two a month. I don’t know who hit the spam switch, but I can’t imagine a more effective way to shoot your own party in the foot.

You know what gets me more than anything sometimes? The crime of not teaching people how to cook. I’m here cooking in advance of a nor’ester and realizing people just don’t know how. Doesn’t matter how the ingredients are priced if people don’t know what keeps in what weather and how to stock up.

If I were on a consultant team with Markey & Moulton and the project started going south, I feel Markey would want to bring the issue to the client immediately and work out a fix even if we lost money. Moulton would keep quiet until a change order was inevitable. I prefer working with Markeys.

My company budgeted for AI to transcribe interviews via a third-party company. The AI rejected them as “non-English language”. So did the offshore human translators. I ended up having to “translate” the whole batch. All Brits from “the North” and Scotland. I was much more expensive than AI.

I genuinely don’t understand what’s happening. States have consent laws about being recorded. I had to get permission for every user interview. Legal got jumpy if I forgot. So why is any of this suddenly okay when you’re recording someone’s conversation and feeding it to a random data center?

I enjoy telling people about how I got a concussion and weeks later ALSO “aced” this test, but the way in which I answered one of the questions actually uncovered some TBI damage (then verified in another test). So… they’re seeing more than just right and wrong, buddy.

Having taken the day to consider it: I do not like the new photo carousel. The usability swiping concern hasn’t turned out to be an issue (mistakenly swiping R/L meaning down/up) but I loathe swiping to see what used to be tiled. I preferred four images and choosing to tap, versus swipe to tap.
