seriously though, look at how cool this is. it's supposedly for kids, but it meets my needs except for the whole change scary thing. (might delete later, another thing about my ocd is that it wants the only media i post to be photography—not snapshots like this, but i have to show it off a bit.)

20 september 2026 #Cat in a box! zoey is the singularly most box-obsessed cat i have ever had. #Pets #Photography i wasn't sure she was going to fit into this one, given she's an order of magnitude bigger than the box, but, she sits! obviously i get boxes just for her.

23 july 2016 picture taken while the foothills between #SimiValley and the #SanFernandoValley were on fire during #FireSeason. i don't remember where we were going or why we were so far northwest, but i snapped a bunch of pictures. i was in an instagram #Photography phase, hence why it's square.

10 january 2019 #Photography post for the wee hours of the morning. this is from truck parking pull-off in echo viewing area in the #WasatchMountains in #Utah, some point in the morning. the #Sunrise was prettier in person, for once, but it's a nice memory anyway. i miss #Snow.

an asphalt road diagonally bisects a snowscape. on the bottom the snow is relatively smooth, with trails of footprints & the tops of grasses sticking up through it. on the top are snowy hills with green vegetation & the further hills each slightly paler. the sky is washed out & clouded, yellow with the faintest pastel oranges at the right side of the mountains fading up into white with the occasional hint of the texture of the clouds, & then in the foreground of the top of the frame the sky is visible sky blue above the clouds.

8 december 2021 today's contribution to #Caturday featuring my #Cat zoey staring out the kitchen window when we had the chest freezer indoors providing her a good place to chill. #Photography done with my cell phone, don't remember what cell phone that was at the time though.

happy #Caturday. it's been a lazy saturday here, have happy #Cat #Photography. 6 aug 2026 i love the contrast of the teal sheet & the orange blanket; the way the colours accentuate her fur. she knows how pretty she is, too. taking a little nap while i was working sitting at the side of the bed.

3 november 2017 at the beginning of #Trucking in san bernardino when i was on my trainer's truck & did lots of #CloudPhotography #Photography. #CellphonePhotography, so quality is by 2017 standards. but it's not about the quality; it's about the memory, & knowing a world larger than this valley.

a late afternoon picture of the mountains in the distance & clouds spreading across the sky. in the foreground the road crosses the right corner of the frame diagonally. behind that there is land with dirt, yellowing dried grass, and dark green scrub brush. before the horizon there are tiny specks of a few houses & buildings. at the horizon are relatively low mountains silhouetted by the sun behind them; the closer one is darker than the further one. the sky is sky blue but covered in stratus, stratocumulus, cirrus, & altocumulus clouds showing the sky through the gaps. the sun illuminates where thr clouds disappear beyond the horizon in the center of the frame in bright yellow fading into lighter yellow & orange. the light stretches off to both sides, fading into more pastel tones where it is visible behind the clouds.

there is the very faint ghost of a reflected image superimposed where you can see the seats of the semi truck reflected in the window glass.

#Caturday #CatPicture #Cat #CellphonePhotography time! 27 july 2026 my mother's cat, ghost. she's very pretty & lives up to her name. she was about two years old when my mother brought her home from the shelter & she took to my mother almost right away. it's taken longer for the rest of us.

a grey-brown tabby cat, with blue eyes, tabby markings on her face, and a lighter colour whisker pads, chin, and chest. she is behind a window pane that has a very faint reflection superimposed on top of the photo, and the window pane is significantly dirty. the cat is sitting up, looking down out of the window.

25 february 2026 one of my tiny #Cactus. this time #CellphonePhotography #Photography captures what can barely be seen up close; this particular cactus wasn't even two whole inches tall at the time. no, i don't remember exactly what it is; my baby cacti bring me joy even without that knowledge.

five paddles of a small cactus in almost macro view, with the body of the cactus & other paddles out of focus on the background. there are very fine reddish spines growing in clusters on each paddle, & at the tip of the paddle the barest pink beginning of a flower can be seen.

12 july 2026 i'm sorry i can't describe this well at all. it's the descended chandelier prop from the play; it's really spectacular, how it goes from being so high up down to the audience's level. glad i left my spouse my phone while i went outside during intermission. they took the shot.

the chandelier prop from phantom of the opera put on by the pantages in july of 2026. the chandelier is ornate gold & glass, with four rings of lights giving it a spherical shape. there are scalloped strings of glass beads along the bottom of the biggest central ring, & strings of glass beads forming the curves between the first & second rings. then between the second & third ring the glass beads form a smaller bowl emanating from the central column. from the third ring to the fourth/upper ring the retreat inwards with a concave curve to them.

in the background on the left is the red curtain and the drapes at the sides. directly behind the chandelier is the column to the right of the stage, which is ornate & visually very busy behind the chandelier. to the right of that is darkness creates by black curtains at the edge of the theatre.

anyway entirely separately i'm feeling sentimental. so here's a photo for tonight, although my mother took it. 27 november 2020 best day of my life. hands down. my spouse will tell you that i looked even happier the day of my top surgery, but this still wins in my mind by at least some margin.

it's #Caturday! thus, my contribution today is a picture of zoey's adorable face. 13 july 2026 she's so tolerant with me shoving the phone camera in her face. i always think i'm annoying her, but she has learned to interpret photos as attention & always starts purring when the camera's out.

12 july 2026 very grateful for the couple who switched seats with us so that we could see the interpreters for the show. & we know for interpreted showings at the pantages, left hand side. phantom of the opera is amazing. the interpreters were amazing. sad there's only one interpreted showing.

before the show started. a wide angle view showing the people in their seats in the audience, the stage to the left, and the absolutely amazing ceiling of the theatre which i cannot describe, with the chandelier prop from the show visible before it descended.

3 august 2022 where i was, i don't know. but i love #CloudPhotography & i love this showing what #CellphonePhotography is capable of. i miss trucking. i miss the road; most of all i miss the sky & the freedom i had. settled life feels like a cage, & i a bird. the world i have left is so small.

a sky full of cumulus clouds starting from what seems to be directly overhead and stretching all the way to the horizon where they fade into a bank of clouds. the horizon is at the very bottom of the image, and there is a road sign which looks somewhat distant approximately one quarter width from the right side of the edge of the image. the sky is a bright blue getting a little lighter towards the horizon.

20 december 2020 this is from before i started location-tagging my photos & i don't recall where i was. none of the photos around are anything identifiable about where i was. but the #Sunset was fantastic; #CloudPhotography best #Photography. i don't know enough about clouds to describe them.

25 august 2019 #LandscapePhotography about a mile & change from my back door when we lived in #NewMexico. this is bluewater lake; my ex drove us down to the water, & we all hung out for a while. i miss this view every single day & sometimes feel like i didn't appreciate it enough at the time.

a dark blue body of water with a reflection of a red clay dirt mesa at the water line. the mesa has small patches of grass growing at the ground. the lake water is still near the bank, then moving further out into the water. the bank of the lake is dry with dried out grasses, but at the right of the frame there are green grasses growing, & faint traces of yellow flowers. the sky is a lighter blue at the horizon darkening to sky blue at the top of the frame.

15 may 2026 before i go to bed for the night, here's a juvenile lesser gold finch. i am extremely proud of this shot; was sitting taking a rest on the way to the bus stop when this guy came & sat in the fence just a few feet away from me. go zoom go. #Birding #LosAngeles #NaturePhotography

it faces to the right & behind the frame, sitting in the lower left third, yellow beak slightly visible. one foot wraps around the fence where the wires cross.

in the background, which is gently blurred from the camera aperture, there is a desaturated blue building with three high windowpanes. the middle windowpane is obscured behind the bird. the building has a flat roof, & the leaves of a tree are visible through the bokeh above & behind the building on the right side of the frame. the sky is a monotonous cloudy grey.

19 march 2020 in #NewMexico, #LandscapePhotography stopped on the side of the road coming back from grocery shopping. it was just a gorgeous day. every day really was. i miss living out there, these views; peaceful, no noise or light pollution. i don't miss driving forty mi one way to the store.

scrub brush in front of livestock fencing with a brown girl's of dried out grades in the lower third of the frame, & clouds on the upper two thirds. in the middle at the horizon fluffy mountains of clouds float above the foothills.

i slept most of #Caturday but here's my second contribution for it even if i am three hours too late. 25 february 2020 more baby zoey. the yellow blanket was her absolute favourite, still is today. it was a very cold winter that year, she learned what blankets are very quickly.
