Tales from the Borderlands. An extremely mid video game made by the old Telltale studios out of a great movie they decided to make interactive for some reason. It’s well written, the music fucking slaps, the art is gorgeous. More fun to watch than play but still there is a good time to be had here.

The vast majority of the votes here were for fucks. Which I get. It’s a wooden hunting rifle whose main prey is “steel armored tanks with thinner than an inch of armor.” That said, it’s worth remembering a lot of Polish military arms became both resistance and third reich weapons after the fall.

Hi there and welcome to #FridayFucksorSucks, a weekly game with simple rules: guns fuck, or they suck. This week, we have the Karabin Przeciwpancerny wz. 35. Designed by the Polish military as an anti-tank rifle, it is a bolt action rifle chambered in 7.92×107mm DS with a four round box magazine.

A gun being carried by a modern role player. You can see how, at scale, the gun was larger than most people.

A single round of 7.92×107mm DS on the left. A single round of .308 on the right, the smallest rifle cartridge that would be considered a "large rifle round" in most circles.

Despite the large round, it was still only somewhat effective as a tank killer. It was, however, wildly effective as an anti-material weapon. They were commonly deployed against troop transports as a way of disabling troop movement as well as a counter to anti-artillery. There are reports of long-range shots being made but no examples of a scope being mounted as the recoil of the gun makes most scope options wildly impractical at best.

During WW2 they were used by the Polish military, Polish resistance forces, and Germans that pressed captured examples into service due to it's portability and ability to counter armored vehicles without the need for implementing your own.

I liked shooting one when I've been able to! I'm a poor and likely wouldn't pick one up because. Well. Money. $2k on a pistol that does what my Glock does but fancier is REAL hard to justify in my current budget. But if I was going to look at a competition-only pistol it would be on the short list.

Hi there, and welcome to #FridayFucksorSucks, a weekly game with simple rules. This week, the Stoeger Double Defense. A space cowboy double barreled 12 gauge, it has black polymer furniture with picatinny rail all around. They are still sold as both side by side and over-under shotguns factory new.

The gun from the side looks like what it is - a very traditional double barrel side-by-side design that has picatinny rail strapped to the top and the bottom.

The side-by-side variant allows for a red dot and a light to be mounted.

The over-under model has three pic rail strips available, one on top and one on each sides allowing for lasers and lights. Beyond that, it is a very simple and reliable operating system with a very slow reloading process.

The side-by-side guns have the disadvantage of none of the barrels lining up with the optic properly. The over-under models the barrels lining up with the picatinny rail, however having the top rail equipped means the front sight is now near useless.
