Yeah, one of the set texts was a collection of biographies of like 30 "key figures" who allegedly shaped the field. The youngest were boomers, most were dead, almost all worked at Oxford, Cambridge or MIT, all were white (except one token Latino), two were members of the NSDAP, and two were women.
