Now that we know Elon murdered the Ukrainian children reminder that Andrew Puzder aggressively threatened the EU after they started talking about divesting in the aftermath. www.ft.com/content/d1e2...

European companies face “devastating” retaliation from Washington if Brussels presses ahead with plans to restrict American rivals such as Elon Musk’s SpaceX from parts of the European market, the US ambassador to the EU has warned.

Andrew Puzder’s warning comes after the European Commission this year proposed reserving part of its spectrum band that allows smartphones to connect directly to satellites for European players. That would limit the frequencies for Chinese and US companies such as SpaceX, which operates the Starlink satellite network.

Asked whether European companies should fear retaliation, Puzder told the FT that they “should be wary that it could happen and it would be very devastating for those companies”, given the size of the US market.

The proposed changes to the bloc’s spectrum allocation have already raised fierce criticism from SpaceX, which has warned the move risks poorer connectivity in Ukraine where its Starlink service has been critical to civilian and military communications since Russia’s full-scale invasion.

Hard not to think a little of Hitler’s Germania, as well as the Bourbons’ Versailles
am reminded of Hitler's plans for Germania, his imagined new capital city for the Thousand-Year Reich, when looking at the comically large renderings for Trump's ballroom. Hitler's new city would have seen huge swaths of Berlin torn down to accommodate its monumental architecture. He
planned a 120-meter tall (over 390 ft) triumphal arch. In addition, the failed painter of dull little Austrian streetscapes planned a 290-meter (over 950 ft) tall great hall with a capacity of 180,000.
Trump, the tacky and chronically bankrupt real estate developer, and Hitler, the failed artist who was too bad at math to try his hand at architecture school, are alike in at least these ways. A love of grand projects papers over fundamental inadequacies.
Aesthetically, the ballroom lives up to Trump's belief in size and luxury as the most important elements of design. On the outside, the building is set to be a gigantic new piece of neoclassical architecture, an imposing example of the traditional style Trump and his allies insist should be the standard for public buildings across the country. That in and of itself is a deeply political project, one rooted in the culture war that sits at the heart of everything in MAGA world.
