(via reddit.com/r/startrek) The House from one of my favourite #startrek The Next Generation episodes "The Survivors" is on the market. In rather better surroundings than the TV show. www.zillow.com/homedetails/...

I quite like the boxy secondary hull.

That's a really interesting looking ship hanging from the ceiling, not a class I recognise. Likely artistic license?

Mildly amusing that probably the most re-used set outside of the main ones doesn't have a good quality scan!

qc @qcne.bsky.social · 26/05/2026

Ah cool, you can see the cave walls in some of those swing sets! Thanks! Shame we only seem to have blurry photos!

@portalrealm.bsky.social Do we have any set plans of the "Planet Hell" set, i.e. TNG Paramount Stage 16 where they filmed most of the planets in early TNG, and where I *think* they put the cave set? Been re-watching early TNG and loving the reoccurrence of the same cave set over and over again.

One of my fave TOS ships!

Honestly one of Sternbach's coolest drawings.

That's actually a really good shout, and matches up with the dates too.

@gaghyogi49.bsky.social Do you recognise this? I've had a quick scan through The Price, The Vengeance Factor, and Booby Trap which were all in production around September 1989.

qc @qcne.bsky.social · 21/04/2026

Probably production art for TNG Season 3, if it was from September 1989?

Was this inspired by the game Keep Driving?

I finally finished this Enterprise D LCARS cross stitch! Was supposed to take about a year, but longcovid had other plans for my brain and ability to count. So it's been over four years instead. It has a bazillion-jillion stitches in it.

A very large cross stitch on black aida fabric of the Enterprise D as shown by an LCARS style screen with lots of other sub-windows around.

When did we see the Disco crew in zero g?

Always loved the SD-103 model. Felt it was one of the more "realistic" looking shuttle designs.

Afaik they got a new lighting director from Season 3 onwards which negated this. I forget where I read this, perhaps one of the behind the scenes books.

This was really common in the early seasons! The bridge LCARS panels had black cardboard on constantly to stop light reflection. Example here: www.ex-astris-scientia.org/observations...
