I built a linux box from scratch for my technophobic dad, and I have zero formal training in software, hardware, anything. He occasionally gets scammers calling "from Microsoft" and knows he can just make fun of them until they give up.

I'm not trying to dismiss your experience, just saying frats aren't unique. Ideally, they're supposed to select for men of good character, and I'm sure there are a few chapters out there that actually do so. I'm a member of a professional coed fraternity, and I think those serve a legit purpose.

Consider how common catcalling is. It's not exclusive to fraternities, it's something nearly every man does, all over the world. Any men who have never done so have probably witnessed a friend harass a woman.

As a pharmacist and harm reduction activist, it seems like hydromorphone and midazolam would be the ideal way to die. But in practice, it's just as brutal as any firing squad, possibly worse. The lesson from repeated failures to create a "humane" death penalty: there's no humane way to kill. None.

Once I got so stoned on a hike I forgot to drink water and ended up in the ER, dehydrated to the point of AMS. They asked me who the president was and it took me several seconds to remember the name Barack Obama. If asked that today, I think I would just shudder with disgust.

Men only have themselves to blame for radical feminism, including TERFism. Their obsession with genitals stems from a fear of rape: anyone with a penis can theoretically rape someone, even if they identify as a woman. That's why TERFs get so upset over talk of "girl dick," because it's a reminder

I thought treating anxiety with clonidine was bad, then I saw atomoxetine prescribed for fatigue. People. Just prescribe the goddamned controlled substances. Neither modafinil nor clonazepam will kill your patient. Even in massive doses! Even together! I promise! STOP TRYING PLACEBOS! 🤬
