I keep a "Media Thread Google Doc" cuz it is fun to keep track of what I experienced each year/look back at my thoughts on certain shit like a journal. Also an easy way to share for anyone that cares.

Crazy how there's like five mecha anime this season, and the remake of a 90s one is literally the only one that seems good. Maybe the Votoms one is ok too, but I need to like watch the original series first.

Who are you surrounding yourself with that this is an actual thing for you?

There are other things like - hope for the next generation - the horrific cycle of humanity's sins - and ofc cool robots But the initial post are at least the main things I come to this franchise for.

I think Gundam is too varied a franchise to have an exact aspect across every one. However, the most consistent elements I love are: - transhumanism - coming of age elements/child soldiers - the cost of war and how people deal with death - a focus on communication and sometimes even forgiveness

The only thing I know about this anime is that it was one of the 2 main influences on my fave story all time (Kubera). It and Basara, so I should probs check out the anime at some point.

Will you do another stream for the ones you didn't get to or nah? Cuz fair enough there were a lot.

Tbh I used to wish as a teen Oneshot would hit the level of fame that UT did, cuz I loved it just as much. But growing older I've realized it's preferable that it hit a very respectable amount of people that have played it just through word of mouth and fans are still making content for it.

The way I'm afraid it might be a fucking Leapster game or a licensed movie/tv game... But as far as "real" games go, it was probs Pokemon FireRed.

Idk, they honestly rule imo. The OGs are great too and I'd almost maybe rec them just because of the voice acting mods, but otherwise they are stellar in every area. That and I actually really like the new JP voices as well.

Regardless of one's thoughts on Expedition 33, I think the fact they were able to make a super successful turn based jrpg on a budget like 1/20th what modern FFs use is notable. Also, gonna say it. Making an action game is way more expensive/time consuming than a turn based one.

Y'know there's this one Discord server years ago I'm glad I'm no longer a part of, cuz in hindsight there were an insane amount of red flags with the people there. But def the first was a very all encompassing energy of people acting/talking like they're smart and not at all actually being smart.

OE is one of the few SRWs I don't think I want to play, so I might just read along for that one lol.

Pyro81300 @pyro81300.bsky.social · 11/09/2026

You've been doing these so consistently and for so long, I kinda assume you'll be taking a break from these Impact not withstanding. But on the off chance you're not, do you have an idea for the next SRW you want to tackle once Shin is done?

It's been forever since I read it, but I do appreciate that Archie Mega Man actually does question Light's ideology at times and his psychology.

SRW if it was a dating sim, call that shit “Super Robot Romance”.

Miia from Combattler V in a shocked/flustered expression: For a half-robot like myself to receive such love…

Amuro Ray (Char’s Counterattack): “To be honest, I don’t miss Side 7 all that much.”

CG of Misato Katsuragi (Evangelion): “What’s with that look on your face?”

Roger Smith (The Big O): “Now then; shall we?”

If I had a nickel for every Gundam anime with a redhead FEMC that introduced really cool original shit but got dragged down by UC fanservice and whose pacing was absolutely fucked I'd have two nickels, but strange it's happened twice now.

Gwitch is mid not because it's woke, but cuz it's written by the Code Geass guy. He's really damn good at writing a gay duo as the lead, and then fails on every level to deliver on the multitude of side characters and subplots he's introduced except for kinda the main plot.

I need u on Kengan Ashura at some point. It's my fave tournament arc bar none. Even if it is very much Baki but it remembers to take its meds. Most of the time, at least.
