A sneak peek to Robert Kesälahti's results on using species-specific (Scots pine, 22 Gbp genome) c0t-1 DNA (60 000 and 30 000 ng) instead of Developer Reagent (DR) as a blocker in exome capture. Significant reduction in e.g., amount of centromere repeats in the sequence data!

How was your work day today? I have commented a manuscript draft, hunted right sized staples for sample collection, emailed about ethanol use for lab surfaces, gossiped with a colleague during lunch, visited the greenhouse to say hi to gardeners and assistants, reading for a journal club tomorrow.
