Ian @pyfbrown.bsky.social · 10/10/2026The awesome gigs just keep on coming, The Haunted levelled Manchester Rebellion last night with a career-spanning set of classics, loads of fun! 010
Ian @pyfbrown.bsky.social · 27/09/2026Public Service Broadcasting pulled out all the stops at Alexandra Palace last night, an incredible night of flying satellites, guest singers, skaters, astronauts, snow, self-conscious pyro and....a costume change?! Gig of the year? 160
Ian @pyfbrown.bsky.social · 05/09/2026Look what turned up this morning, I think that bookmark was designed just for me. Thanks @dj-acid-reflux.bsky.social 020
Ian @pyfbrown.bsky.social · 24/08/2026Public Service Broadcasting pulling out one of the gigs of the year so far at Halifax Piece Hall last night, an absolutely stunning closing five songs on top of an already brilliant set. Roll on Ally Pally! 140
Ian @pyfbrown.bsky.social · 16/08/2026Plus Rise Against and Get Up Kids made a top bill. Got a Rise Against setlist delivered by the bassist's paper aeroplane and a good catch! 000
Ian @pyfbrown.bsky.social · 16/08/2026A great night last night at Cardiff Castle seeing Jimmy Eat World playing Bleed American in full. 120
Ian @pyfbrown.bsky.social · 12/08/2026Also managed to bag a setlist from the hand of Lauren herself. 000
Ian @pyfbrown.bsky.social · 12/08/2026I'm used to seeing Arch Enemy at places like the Apollo or the Academy in Manchester so to see them last night at Manchester Rebellion was a far more intimate affair to introduce their singer to the Manchester audience. Fantastic night. 100
Ian @pyfbrown.bsky.social · 02/08/2026Paradise Lost were amazing too, with even more fire in their bellies for a rare hometown show. And Nick rivalled Mikael in the comedy stakes too 000
Ian @pyfbrown.bsky.social · 02/08/2026Opeth were a combination of stunning prog metal and stand up comedy at Halifax Piece Hall last night. 230
Ian @pyfbrown.bsky.social · 26/07/2026The "Protect are kids" lot reading about the events at Berlin Pride. 000
Ian @pyfbrown.bsky.social · 25/07/2026Feeder were on top form at Blackpool Wintergardens last night. And with A as support (also on top form) that meant two of my favourite bands on the same bill. 140
Ian @pyfbrown.bsky.social · 06/07/2026Did you know that 😂 isn't actually a laughing emoji, it's the official face for "he corn't see man". 110
Ian @pyfbrown.bsky.social · 03/07/2026Too high. I'm the ghostly white head behind the lad in the white shirt. 110
Ian @pyfbrown.bsky.social · 03/07/2026The trickiest of Where's Wallys (Wallies?). But I can see me. 100
Ian @pyfbrown.bsky.social · 29/06/2026One bonus was I was right by where the bands entered and exited the arena. 100
Ian @pyfbrown.bsky.social · 29/06/2026Metallica were amazing at Cardiff Principality Stadium last night, shame my seat meant that you could go whole songs without seeing a band member due to the stage setup. But even on those songs they SOUNDED amazing. 230
Ian @pyfbrown.bsky.social · 26/06/2026The Black Crowes conquered the heat at Manchester Albert Hall last night by cranking it up a few more notches, a fantastic set in a great setting (and lots of sweating) 110
Ian @pyfbrown.bsky.social · 20/06/2026I first saw A back in 1997, this was the 9th time I've seen them but weirdly the first ever time I've seen them headlining. They certainly didn't disappoint in the heat, all the classics mixed in with the new album, plus possibly the world's first line-dancing circle pit? 000
Ian @pyfbrown.bsky.social · 26/05/2026Two events in one day, tonight's was thankfully much cooler (as in temperature). Shane Embury of Napalm Death at The Crescent Community Venue, York had interesting stories of his life and music career followed by a signing afterwards. Very cool day (cool as in....you get the idea). 010
Ian @pyfbrown.bsky.social · 20/05/2026The Gathering had been top of my "never seen live but really want to" pile for a while & at Shepherd's Bush Empire they definitely didn't disappoint. Fine setlist choices around the full Mandylion album topped off by Anneke's still jaw-dropping voice & an amazing crowd reaction 020
Ian @pyfbrown.bsky.social · 16/05/2026Second night seeing Machine Head, this time at Manchester Victoria Warehouse, just the right amount of great setlist changes mixed in with the classics everyone wants to hear. And bigger stage meant more pyro! 100
Ian @pyfbrown.bsky.social · 15/05/2026Machine Head were phenomenal last night at Glasgow Academy, who needs support bands when you can just take the whole night on on your own? Same again tonight in Manchester? 110
Ian @pyfbrown.bsky.social · 07/05/2026Over in the old place I think Grok is now making up history that hasn't even happened yet.... 100
Ian @pyfbrown.bsky.social · 04/05/2026The Charlatans at Newcastle City Hall last night, a great mixture of the old hits and the new songs which were less familiar to me, but it's much easier to go along for the ride with a frontman who enjoys himself as much as Tim Burgess. 010
Ian @pyfbrown.bsky.social · 17/04/2026Post the best picture you have ever taken of your pet (if you feel like it): 020
Ian @pyfbrown.bsky.social · 11/04/2026Blackbraid, Winterfylleth and Noctem were stunning at Manchester Rebellion last night, a black metal celebration. Blackbraid photos: 100
Ian @pyfbrown.bsky.social · 10/04/2026If this was GTA, you know there would be a hidden package on the end of that pointy bit. 010
